why is it that they don't just hover over the White House and New York City so everyone can see them?
why is it that the aliens are always afraid of being spotted by actual Earthlings?
are we afraid that the Martians will detect our ships heading to Mars?
it just sounds ridiculous that aliens care about the "emotional state" of humans which is supposedly why they don't want to reveal themselves.
In reality if aliens came to earth it would be more likely to occur as presented in a couple of Twilight episodes.
