Technically he does not owe taxes on the "loan" until it is forgiven. If I recall, the "loan" was structured to be repaid beginning in 2025. There may be something peculiar about that date.
Only when the loan is forgiven would there be income and in turn potential taxes owed.
Not sure there is anything illegal about the "loan", other than the optics indicate nefarious activity.
There is a strong argument that this "loan" to pay his back taxes should be considered a campaign contribution in which case Joe, Hunter and the lawyer who loaned it should all be charged and jailed.
Keep in mind they wanted to get Trump on his attorney merely processing a payment for a legal settlement on behalf of Trump as some sort of campaign violation. Leftists on here and MSM were all eaten up with "Got him" over it.
