Ramaswamy brings an edge specially from a millennial that's really impressive. He was not phased or bewildered at all tonight, and I love that he wants to give no more money to Ukraine took a lot of courage on the national stage to say no more to Ukraine.

Haley- I don't want her as President but she did pretty good tonight. I think she would be a great counterbalance for the VP spot because she can definitely attract the white suburban women and some liberals to the right side.

My thoughts were Vivek and Doug did the best in this as far as illustrating their policies and who they are as people. Everyone else rang quite hollow.

Nobody won tonight, but Haley helped herself the most. But it is something like 3 percent to 6 percent for her so it doesn't matter.

The only candidates imo that can challenge Trump are DeSantis and Vivek. They both had moments, but this debate was a waste. One of them needed to separate from the pack and it didn't happen.

I desperately need Desantis to remain viable for 2028. There is no other candidate who can do what he promises to do. He is not ripe yet.

Trump needs to get into office and wreck shop with the experience he has. He also needs a good vice president because the chances he will be eliminated are great.

Who did Trump "wreck shop" on? Other than his own appointments, he didn't do anything

Oh, to be honest, I feel like Pence has no chance to win. I said I thought he did well tonight, not that he was going to be the candidate to beat Trump. I honestly feel DeSantis is the only one that could. Same as Haley. I thought she did really well tonight, but can she beat Trump.

I liked Vivek before tonight but I thought he came across as the immature brat in the room. It lowered my trust in his sincerity. Haley had a good night and Pence probably thinks he did, but it was probably his peak unless the evangelicals pump him up. Desantis is my first choice of that group but he wasn't impressive.
I think debates like this accomplish little other than separating out the weakest.

I was actually a bit disappointed in Vivek as well.

His opening was great.

His over smiling was awkward and wasn't serious enough.

He's way smart and communicates really clearly.

He won't win but I like a younger person who brings new ideas.

No way I can't watch these debates.

Trump can't win. He simply cannot win - his negatives are simply too high and its all baked in. It's not changing.

The only chance republicans have is if Desantis, Vivek, Haley or Scott finally get this simple but profound truth out there so that the republican rank and file understand it. The only way to defeat the democrats is to choose another candidate over Trump.

Pretty much agree with this except that I think in real situations (especially long form discussions) Vivek comes across way better, and light years ahead of other candidates. I wish he'd done better but Ron did well too and I'm good with that.

Most of Pence's achievements are actually Trump's achievements.
