If you agree that Trump is better than Kamala, and under your assumption those are our two choices in the general election, why do you have a hard time voting for Trump? You failing to vote for Trump is the reason why Kamala has half a chance at becoming president.

Trump is not my first choice, but if he is the Republican candidate, I will vote for him. If everyone held to this belief, the election would be a landslide for the Republican candidate, as the Democrats are criminals, incompetent and criminally incompetent.

This. There are so my self-proclaimed "Republicans" on this board, but if Trump wins the nomination as the Republican candidate they won't vote for him because he doesn't meet their moral standards. Instead, they will abstain from voting, or vote for an Independent/Libertarian candidate and essentially hand the election to the Democrats. Will that Democratic candidate be a more moral choice than Trump? No, but they get to hide behind the fact that they didn't vote for him/her. It's all about feelings for these concerned moderates, RINOs and Never-Trumpers. I'm not saying that Trump is the best choice, but if he's the Republican nominee then swallow your pride, act like a man and vote for the lesser of two evils.

Some of you are still very ignorant to how many people will vote for anyone but trump.

I'm not going to say a vote for Trump is a vote for Biden/Kamala, even though the end result would almost assuredly end up that way. But the answer to what we need to do has been obvious for a year now.

You are welcome to voice your opinion now. I don't care. But if/when President Kamala is sworn in 4 years from now, no one is going to take your whining seriously. You will be as responsible as any Dem voter for putting her in that chair.

Because 60-65 % of the nation despises Trump and will vote against him no matter who the democrat is.

Let me clear that up for you. Primary voters are made of F16er types. People that are into politics or at least follow it and stay informed. These people don't care that Trump is a **** show.

The general election vote is heavily weighted towards the general voter. The general public hates Trump because he's a **** show. He's become unelectable.

"Trump remains broadly unpopular with the public: 63% of Americans have an unfavorable opinion of the former president, while 35% view him favorably."

I'm on the complete opposite side of all this and don't believe we'll have a fair election ever again. Doesn't mean I won't vote so don't assume that's what I'm saying or that I'm encouraging others to give up. I'm simply stating a concern of mine based on my observations in 2020.

The main problem with Trump winning the nomination is the sheer number of people that bought into the belief sold by the left that Biden actually received 81 million votes. That's setting the stage for the very same narrative to be sold to the American people again, no matter who runs against Trump.

If DeSantis was to win the nomination and the same questionable actions were to occur in 2024 maybe people would then realize we have a real problem on our hands concerning election integrity.

Yes, it is. A Trump nomination means at least another 4 years of Democrat control. Maybe even more if the Dems succeed at DC statehood, SCOTUS packing and election "reform". Book it.

That and the people on the right who buy into the current legal hoax. Oh and the January 6th narrative. Its all working as somehow, with the worst President of modern times currently in office, Trumps approval ratings have gone down since leaving office. Any other Presidents ratings would have skyrocketed.

The Orange Man Bad narrative has been pushed by the left ever since Trump was elected. Like Goebbels said; "if you tell a lie often enough, it becomes the truth". And unfortunately too many Americans look straight past the shape our country was in under Trump, right up until Covid and buy all those lies. All they see is a criminal because all the left has done since day 1 is go after the man. And time and time again we find out our government lied to us. Even now they're filing frivolous lawsuits to destroy him. And at the same time people are astonished by the apparent corruption in Washington and don't tie the 2 together?

A corrupt government persecuting a political opponent non stop. People should ask themselves why. One of the more obvious answers might be that he is seen as a threat to that corruption.

And what is that "hate" based on? They just don't like the man's personality? I know a guy who voted libertarian in 2020 who told me he did so simply because he didn't see Trump as very presidential. Well guess what? Neither is Biden. At least Trump was good for America right up until the Chinese released a bio weapon on the world.

Again, what is everyone basing all their dislike of Trump on? What the left has sold you on social media? That's where perceptions and opinions are formed these days. And who is that perfect candidate? I don't think there is one. Everyone in todays world of social media gets shredded. Vote for policy and what's good for America, not for some candidates personality.

Dislike for Trump

-basically a Dem in terms of monetary and fiscal policy. Fought for negative interest rates, ethanol and other subsidies, sent out 2 different stimulus packages and campaigned on a 3rd, refuses to touch entitlements and attacks those that acknowledge the problem, had a $1T deficit PRE COVID (which was double Obama's final deficit)

-His hiring practices are horrendous and is unable to build a cohesive team to accomplish anything lasting, most of what he does isn't binding. Will always have a leaky ship of an administration

-lets his personal vendettas get in the way of helping the country (McCain, spending more money on attack ads on Republicans than Dems)

-falls for every trap laid by the media and Dems. Neuters his ability to govern.

Nothing in there about mean tweets. Those are legitimate concerns and issues.
