Seriously, this can't be a recent post, can it?
It's amazing that people can see something like this and still consider doctors and health care workers omniscient.
This doesn't matter in the mind of the Branch Covidian. Their minds are made up. The masks are their yamakas. The fact that there have been countless studies debunking the usefulness of masks and mask mandates means nothing to them. It's their most precious virtue.Quote:
Masks are worthless and harmful if worn too long.

Washing your hands is actually useful.

Disagree. They make it very clear who is a complete idiot whom I must avoid at all costs. I appreciate them letting me know.Rapier108 said:

They also set a good example in a hospital with a large percentage of compromised immune systems. They keep little hands out of little noses and mouths which even the densest of non science majors on F16 should be able to understand. I think at this point I'm more concerned with the idiots posting topics like this for clicks and likes than I am with the lady wearing a mask in her car. The inability to understand behaviors that lead to infection is mind blowing to me.
Don't be willfully obtuse and stupid.
It actually doesn't, not even the most staunch adult covid fear monger could resist playing with the damn things while yelling at you for killing grandmamaaw, and you think it stops a kid from doing the same?BrazosDog02 said:Law361 said:

In my experience, depending on what part of the hospital you're in, the patients were being seen with masks on for many years before COVID was a thing. The waiting room I was the most experienced with asked you to mask if you felt bad or had any symptoms at all (even if you thought it was allergies), and to get out if you thought you had a fever, because it was a very serious issue if you made other patients around you sick.
There are probably a lot of patients at that hospital with immune deficiencies. Seems like a weird choice to think this is a comedy slam dunk on maskers.
Oh boy. Here we go. You're upset over people who think masking is completely abnormal, anti social behavior with zero real world benefit (which continues to be shown over and over again)BrazosDog02 said:Law361 said:

Brazos dog just reverted back to April of 2020.BarnacleBill said:
What year is this?
I'm sure it happened somewhere in rare places, but I never once saw a mask in texas prior to 2020 outside of surgeries (which is for bacteria, not viruses)Lance Uppercut said:

Well, this wasn't a "I saw a guy one time..." kind of thing. It was observing people on a consistent basis who had compromised immune systems, not people seeing a doctor for a scraped knee or taking selfies at the top of remote mountains while masked up. And I'm guessing the people at that hospital see some of the same kinds of patients.beerad12man said:I'm sure it happened somewhere in rare places, but I never once saw a mask in texas prior to 2020 outside of surgeries (which is for bacteria, not viruses)Lance Uppercut said:

Oh, and every study prior to 2020 showed that made no statistical difference for viruses even in health settings. Mind you, this is with fitted masks for people who were trained on them. No discernible difference in viral spread. We changed the science in 2020 and then now people try to act like those of us who oppose are anti-science.
Here's a hint. Human nature has to do something. Masks were that something. That is the only reason we tried them. They make no logical sense for aerosols.
Why people worry about this stuff...on either side...is beyond me. Who cares. Promote it, don't promote it. Do it, don't do it. In the course of any persons day...this is something to give any kind of time and energy to be worrying about?Law361 said:
