I don't think washing hands is that useful for COVID from what I've read. Airborne exposure is the key.

But yeah, masks are worthless.

Austin Diagnostic Clinic is still requiring masks in all their locations. If I didn't like my endo so much, I'd ditch them. Such a dumb policy.

Weird. I work in a hospital and we've been mask free for over a year.

In my experience, depending on what part of the hospital you're in, the patients were being seen with masks on for many years before COVID was a thing. The waiting room I was the most experienced with asked you to mask if you felt bad or had any symptoms at all (even if you thought it was allergies), and to get out if you thought you had a fever, because it was a very serious issue if you made other patients around you sick.

There are probably a lot of patients at that hospital with immune deficiencies. Seems like a weird choice to think this is a comedy slam dunk on maskers.

I'm sure it happened somewhere in rare places, but I never once saw a mask in texas prior to 2020 outside of surgeries (which is for bacteria, not viruses)

Oh, and every study prior to 2020 showed that made no statistical difference for viruses even in health settings. Mind you, this is with fitted masks for people who were trained on them. No discernible difference in viral spread. We changed the science in 2020 and then now people try to act like those of us who oppose are anti-science.

Here's a hint. Human nature has to do something. Masks were that something. That is the only reason we tried them. They make no logical sense for aerosols.

On an occasion I'd see one here in Texas before 2020, but it was either a person who was obviously battling cancer or some other serious disease, or the person was Asian.

Well, this wasn't a "I saw a guy one time..." kind of thing. It was observing people on a consistent basis who had compromised immune systems, not people seeing a doctor for a scraped knee or taking selfies at the top of remote mountains while masked up. And I'm guessing the people at that hospital see some of the same kinds of patients.

Dunking on the children's hospital for wearing a mask just seems like a weak flex. If you want to meet at the middle of them bothering those dogs by shoving masks on them...that does seem pretty goofy.

"Hey Kids! Wear Your Mask All Week And Get Gender Affirming Care For 10% Off!"

If they'll mutilate kids for a political agenda they'll advertise masks for an agenda.
