I think this indictment was always expected late July early August.

Our country is fracturing before our eyes.

Good job leftists and concerned moderates. All in your lust for power or emotional voting you have successfully created a monster that cannot be easily tamed.

Their goal is to keep him from running in 2024.
Day after election day these charges could be dropped.

I am not convinced the DNC is hoping that Sleepy Joe decides he is one and done paving the way for Gov Ken Doll and Big Gretch to run on the "Last White Liberals" ticket.

Their goal is to make him the only option in 2024 on the right, but also a hobbled option. This does both.

Have to get out ahead of the Fulton County ballot inspection trial. (Not scheduled yet.)

Racketeering is hard. I've only tried to piece that together one time in a civil case. Trump's case would be criminal. I suspect they'd try to pull in Rudy G.

Where is this being said besides the Desantis club?
Democrats don't even attempt to hide their missions any longer. They are blatantly overt in their actions. Are there democrat strategists saying this? Who?

If "their" goals is to keep him from running, this was a pretty ****ty way to go about it. All of the charges just make him harder to beat in the primary and embolden both his ardent supporters as well as make those that supported Trump before but we're done with him for 2024 (ie LegalDrugPusher) go running back.
Phatbob

You're telling me these people 1) know the law 2) know they will never get a ridiculous charge with an actual conviction 3) know that it will freeze support in both parties and 4) time it to occur years after the fact, but conveniently after the primaries but before the general and it not be on purpose? That seems naive.

ETA: and also it puts Trump resources towards personal legal defense after the primary, but during the general

By design its to keep discussion of real issues and problems out of the news. The last thing the MSM wants is a substantive discussion of issues. If that were to happen Biden would be destroyed in the General by anyone he ran against.

Keep the petty Jerry Springer stuff going so real change doesn't happen.

Quote:

The Washington Post was busted for publishing fabricated quotes from an anonymous source, attributing them to a sitting president, and using those quotes as a basis to speculate the president committed a crime. The invented Donald Trump quotes, which related to a fight over election integrity in Georgia, were cited in Democrats' impeachment brief and during the Senate impeachment trial.

But the fake quotes, bad as they were, are just one of many ways the media have done a horrible job of covering election disputes in the state.

I'm still trying to find a democrat strategist that is in favor of going after Trump legally but wants Trumps as the nominee.

Haven't read the thread, but any of the J6 indictments will be the most difficult to overcome, and I'm not a Trump voter.

If the trial is in DC, he's toast--period!

Just being initiated into the LAWFARE term in the last six months, how often does it happen? Is it illegal? How hard is it to prove?

Oh, and how good is the "justsecurity.org" site, cause it sounds good, but it just may be good on this topic and who is "Andrew"?

One of Comey's besties, Ben Wittes, started a blog several years ago by that name. He made no bones about using the law as a weapon, primarily against Trump.
