My YouTube TV account has 22 seasons of Law and Order saved and with The Simpsons and South Park streaming I am good to go until Football Season.

Wonder how Tom Cruise feels about this? He was about to premiere his latest Mission Impossible movie and had a lot of press set up for interviews. He can't do that if they are on strike.
Agree. And the AI stuff? They won't do that with the really big stars but much lesser known supporting casts? Why not?clobby said:
The last big strike led to all the reality TV reality shows, now YouTube channels are getting huge. They are just shooting themselves in the foot.
the problem is unions stick with unions.BTKAG97 said:
You'd think good writers could make more money not being in a union and a good writer would not ever need to go on strike since production companies would be throwing truckloads at them. This strike tells me most writers are terrible at their jobs. I don't need to mention the horrible quality of most things that come out of Hollywood.
That might be true if there were that many good writers anymore.Quote:

Wonder if DeadPool 3 made it through post production yet? Disney moved up the date for its release a few weeks ago, so principal photography was done. But editing and looping may not have been.An L of an Ag said:
From what I understand, if it's finished, it's getting rolled out. Movies, TV shows, etc.

um.. that is not what is happening.Premium said:
Lol @ actor's realizing they have no job w/o writers, so they are now "supporting" the writers with their own strike.
SAG-AFTRA news and broadcast members will not be on strike, as member reporters, anchors. hosts and producers work under individual station or network contracts, not the TV and theatrical agreement. For those broadcast and news members, the terms and conditions of their employment remain the same and are not affectedTyHolden said:
Who's on CNN and Fox News then?

One of the craziest aspects of this negotiation revolves around AI use of actors. Basically, part of the studios' offer said that background actors could only be hired contingent upon them agreeing to do a AI scan. That scan could then replicate the actors and be used by the studios for eternity, lol.
Nobody is going to agree to that crap, Union or not.
