DeSantis maybe the GOAT here but he would never receive the same treatment of support that Trump gets. It's not even close.

I know this alone does not elect the president but it sure doesn't hurt and I guarantee you DeSantis or anyone else wishes they could get the same result.

MMA crowd is a different animal. They (fighters and fans alike) have always supported Trump for what he did for the sport. Some guys like Masvidal take it a step further and actually endorse his politics as well. But I don't know that this necessarily "puts it in the bag" for Trump or indicates in any way that "the tide is turning" as announced by the narrator of the YouTube clip. I saw DeSantis come onstage at a Florida concert not too long ago and got a similar response.

90% of the fans and fighters are NOT libs. Desantis would get a similar response if he showed up. Go train in a legit MMA, BJJ, etc gym and see how many lefties you run into. It's not bouncy ball or even football.

I've just about resolved to myself that 2024 is going to be a rematch, and it's almost certain to end in the same outcome.

The same RINOs and nevertrumper idiots that voted for Biden or sat out in 2020 aren't going to do anything different this time, in spite of watching this train wreck for our nation the past few years.

Worst part is that Ron could have done a lot of good, but losing primary to Trump will likely hurt his chances in the future as well.

This is a question? General elections are won by swaying the middle. That's how. Biden is a stomach-turning turnip. Trump has a core of support that can win a primary but will never be enough to win a general.

And to your other post, correct again, the game hasn't even started yet.

I am confident that DeSantis is going to swing moderates over in droves. Suburban white women are going to love Casey. And yes, that matters.

We have to establish a clean slate. There is no future in Trump. Even if Trump wins the primary we need to stay the course. If that happens, we will lose the general next year. But Reagan lost a primary too.

Celebrity worship is not exclusive to the left. DeSantis may not be able to overcome it. But that doesn't mean we should cling to an old man who holds no future for our side.
