From what I read, the police unions are asking for the ability to do that, but apparently French laws don't give them much protection from the effects of doing their job in those kinds of situations. Of course the left wing politicians in France are already going off on the Police for their "rhetoric" escalating the tensions. Lots of european leftie blaming "systemic racism" in the police for causing this, not the 17 year old with a long rap sheet and history of running from the police. I don't foresee this going away anytime soon until the french politicians stop looking for a political advantage and coalesce behind taking back control of their country.2wealfth Man said:
