France is an amazing Western nation. Parisians are typically deeks to Americans which lends to the problem and the culture in general is stuck up. But that piece of real estate is epic. So much of France is rural by American standards and you see more John Deere equipment than you do in Texas. Outside of Paris and the elites on the Med, the country is pretty down to earth, beautiful and friendly.
Also, the entire notion that the French are poons is WWII era BS. They battled on the high seas and in the colonies with the Brits, Spanish, and the rest of Europe like bosses. They settled/colonized what would become a massive and vital portion of the US. They fought Germany's invasion to a standstill war of attrition in the 19-teens. Yes, the got rolled by Nazi Germany but they found themselves against a vastly superior army they were grossly unprepared to fight against. The French Resistance was fierce and never ending. Their Foreign Legion would remain significant in Africa and the Middle east and even SE Asia for decades.
Most of all, without France, the United States of America most likely would have failed in our rebellion.
So maybe back off on the frogs a bit. My two cents.
You are retorting with an oversimplification that trends to your own beliefs though. Yes, rural France is beautiful but the country is run by the urban population centers and Mediterranean leftists as our own wish to be the case here.
We paid the French back many times over already for the 18th century (and early 19th) help, which was not oh by the way motivated by generosity on their behalf.
De Gaulle certainly made clear no future 'we owe you' bills are due between us.
Just as LePen's various campaigns have shown, open borders creates a declining nation state by definition. Hopefully, at some point a prosperous, tolerant, peaceful people will exist where France does today. Gauls, Celts, Romans at various times might have fit the bill. As to the current republic, I don't give a crap when it falls, regardless of the language/scenery/history. Their warmongering in Europe needs to stop/end asap.
