Are you suggesting that before whatever law he's talking about was passed that public officials like Biden and local officials and citizens of Philly and NYC just watched trucks pull up to the curb and begin selling weapons out the back and everyone goes about their business because they think that it's legal to do that, but they sure wish something could be done?

As the Democrats walked by these scenes did they grumble under their breath that if it weren't for the NRA they could do something about this faster?

Is this the picture you have in mind here? Certainly that's the picture being portrayed by the President.

I've spent a lot of time walking along the streets of Philly and NYC in the last 25 years. I've never once watched a truck pull up, they open the back, and people just start buying AR-15s or any other type of gun or ammo. I know lots of people that have lived, worked, and gone to college in both cities since the 1980s. They never witnessed this either, we've talked about 2nd amendment issues. I assure you, it would have come up in conversations.

The whole idea fails the logic test and a review of statistics kept by his own DOJ. Rifles of all kinds account for approximately 2% of all gun deaths a year. There are 15k Americans killed by gun violence per year though the number is up substantially since Covid to 20k. That means that about 400 Americans per year die for from rifles of any kind. There are over 20 MILLION AR15 in America. If these weapons were the problem there would be 5.56 casings everywhere.

Democrats lie about everything but their lies about guns are the most egregious because the truth is on their own websites. The overwhelming majority of gun violence is gang related, as in 96%. They are using gang violence to scare people into thinking we have a gun problem. We don't. We have a gang problem.
A fearful society is a compliant society. That's why Democrats and criminals prefer their victims to be unarmed. Gun Control is not about guns, it's about control.
