I can assure you, Obama had nothing to do with $2.29 gas or American energy independence. That happened during his tenure because he had the good fortune of being President when American ingenuity in the O&G industry developed fracking techniques that increased American production and energy independence so rapidly that he couldn't act quickly enough to prevent it.

It also had a lot to do with the economy.

All that was despite him, not because of him. The idiot currently in the White House has been sure to take care of all that.

Also on the subject of energy, Obama himself stood there in the debates in response to "drill baby drill" and said there was no way we could just start drilling and drill ourselves into energy independence in any reasonable amount of time. Obama did absolutely nothing that would deserve any credit thrown his way on the exploitation of the Bakken, Eagle Ford, and Permian shale basins. Again, we are dealing with a poster here who is extremely intellectually dishonest. To say that Obama had anything to do with the shale revolution in this country is laughable at best.
