I would have assumed he would commit suicide as soon as making bail.

Not sure how you ever come back from this.

Especially since it was something that apparently had been going on for months/years.

These days, who knows, probably be diagnosed with a condition, and given tenure and a bonus, maybe even become President at a small liberal college...

From time to time, a news story is published about an animal bordello where you can pay to have sex with animals. The last time I remember is one that was, I think, in the State of Washington a few years ago. Most, I think, are in Europe where it is actually legal in some countries!
