Insurance companies should make it a rule that they don't insure homes with Pit Bulls. Landlords shouldn't rent to Pit owners either. Do that and maybe that sorry ass breed will disappear.
Many do and not just pit bulls. Rottweilers, Dobermans, any breed they deem "aggressive."

I've pursued several dog bite claims. I have one now where Allstate tendered policy limits and I'm looking into assets of the homeowner for additional money. It was a savage attack on a young girl. She is scarred for life. Back in my insurance defense days, defended a few, even up to the Ga. Supreme Court. I haven't read the article, but you need a competent lawyer to go through the maze of insurance and make sure you dot your i's and cross you t's.

If insurance companies did what they are supposed to, I'd have to find another job. I think I'm good until I want to retire.

Allstate didn't want to pay out a claim for my roof claiming every single mark on the roof came from something other than hail. It took them a couple of months after a great deal of badgering from a contractor to finally come around to cutting a check. They have surpassed State Farm in terms of the worst insurance companies to deal with.

A few years ago my dad was stationed @ an army post on the east coast. The son of an officer was struck by a car that ran a red light as his son was turning left into the post. Allstate refused to pay repairs and hospital bills so the officer sued Allstate, with the help of the Adjutant General at the post. Just hours before the trial Allstate conceded and cover all expenses.

Based on this they are on my crap list.

A drunk lady hit my parked car causing thousands in damage. It took 3 months to get the rear quarter panel fro England for repairs. Her insurance was Allstate, again these clowns would only pay rental for 1 month. Asshats
Among the latter, under pretence of governing they have divided their nations into two classes, wolves and sheep.”
