When I joined in 1996, they were called WM's, as in Woman Marine. A few years after that, that went away and they were called Female Marines, but no FM acronym. After that, we just call them Marines. Why the adjective?
Of course, I've heard several slang, derogatory terms for them that some of them most definitely earned, in my opinion, but I digress. Same goes for male Marines, but we werent labeled with a nickname
