Seriously doubt DeSantis would have won in 2020 as a fledgling Governor only in office a few months before he declared in 2019, against Trump, the incumbent.

Again, that is not helpful to his campaign.

So what's the real argument here? Covid didn't happen and election laws were not illegally changed to mandate all of the mail in ballots and illegal drop boxes? How much of rewriting history is involved here?

That would be a disaster if CO or any state keeps Trump off the ballot. There certainly isn't a "win" for DeSantis if that happens. First off, people would just write in Trump. Second, if DeSantis won because of Trump being disqualified he would not be considered legitimate to Republicans and thus would lose if he accepted the nomination because of that.

BTW this isn't remotely the big fight either. That's going to happen when Trump starts racking up convictions and that's almost certain to happen (whether it is right or wrong is irrelevant to the political question).

The ONLY paths out are 1) Trump beats all the charges with his crack legal team (lol) or they are dismissed (double lol). 2) Trump drops out and says for the good of the Party and endorses someone else and we have a primary between them (basically too late for this and lol anyway) or 3) Trump loses the primary straight up and takes the L (most likely of the 3 but a longshot at best).

So buckle up kids, we are picking up speed as we drive off the cliff.

If Trump loses the primary, he won't "take the L". He'll double down on the cheating rhetoric that's been going on for 3 years...

That's what sucks. He has no problem taking the Republicans down with him and MAGA with drive the bus.

It'll be DeSantis' first loss in his career (outside of withdrawing for Senate when Rubio decided to run again). Trump is already responsible for three losses in the last 6 years and will soon have four.

I won't be able to convince you elections are rigged. All of them. However, a shyt hole country can run an election in 24 hours with millions of votes. While an American county can't. You won't deduce anything from that I am sure. But for the critical thinkers, they'll smell BS.
