Good lord, its been posited many times before, enough times that all of you fully understand the argument. So to feign ignorance so you can make a silly post is just dumb.

Siccing the legal system on Trump stirs up his base....you guys. Convinces you to vote for Trump for revenge and to stand up to the Dems.

But the media articles attacking his policies, record, platform, Truth Social postings, bat-**** crazy staff and acquintances, declining physical and mental capabilities....and on and on....aren't happening yet, not in any significant amount.

That'll happen after you guys nominate him in the Primary and the Reps are stuck with him as the candidate.

Ergo, the media is still holding back. For now.

The media is holding back, huh? Alrighty. You guys are hilarious. It may appear that way after a **** storm for four years while he was President and stonewalling in every conceivable fashion or two years into Biden's presidency as the January 6th trail war on, but yeah, they are taking a breather on Trump and his campaign. It's laughable, truly. Perhaps what you are really seeing is the effect of Elon owning X. But carry on Pretzel Man.

Notice where and in which states these riots occurred. But hey, everything is Trump's fault regardless if he didn't attempt to offer aid. Again, the bait was set. Overstep your bounds as an executive, they call you an authoritarian. Democrats refuse aid from Trump because they couldn't get help from "literally Hitler" and he gets called impotent. Such is the logic by small minded men (with kids).

No, I support Vivek. Policy trumps all for me.
What policies has Vivek shown he can or has implemented?

I know he talked quite a bit about using the Reorganization Act of 1977 to eliminate a number of executive branch departments.

However, that act expired during Reagan's term. So, he can't use that and why he brought it up is odd...

He brought it up because he really doesn't know as much as he thinks he does and if he somehow made it into office it would be laughable how many of his campaign promises went unfulfilled. But some people will buy anything you're trying to sell them as long as you dazzle them with sweet talk.

Why do you think Vivek talks about a moral mandate election? The presidential reorganization act hasn't expired. It was only last implemented under Reagan. Obama tried to use it to reorder the Department of Commerce. A moral mandate style election would give the President clout to authorize its use again utilizing the bully pulpit to a better path forward.

Congress wouldn't give him the funding. Do you really need a refresher? That's what makes this whole thing so comical. 5 billion for a wall was insane to ask but 80 billion for Ukraine is a dire act of patriotism.

It LITERALLY had an expiration date in it (see below). It was extended for 1 year since it expired right at the beginning of Reagan's term, but that required Congress to pass a law to extend it. It then expired in 1981. There was one more 2 month extension passed in 1984.

It has been expired since then.

Obama didn't try to use it because it was expired. He asked Congress to grant him NEW reorganization authority - HINT: This requires Congress to pass a law. Congress said NO.

So, Vivek CANNOT use that authority...

Either he knows that and he's lying or he doesn't know that and that's just as bad...

(b) A provision contained in a reorganization plan may take effect only if the plan is transmitted to Congress within three years of the date of enactment of the Reorganization Act of 1977.

Quote:

Public Law 95-17 95th Congress An Act Apr. 6. 1977 [S. 626] Reorganization Act of 1977. 5 us e 901 note. To reestablish the period within which the President may transmit to the Congress plans for the reorganization of agencies of the executive branch of the Government, and for other purposes.

Maybe the ultra-liberal Heritage Foundation will convince you...

Quote:

The President has no statutory authority to reorganize the executive branch, except where acts of Congress delegate authority to make particular changes.

Forget Trump. This is about principles and our country. Worship DeSantis all you want but they will be coming for him next. They sued Palin out of office. The bogus indictments are pure election interference. Anyone can see they have a clear effect in the Trumps poll numbers shooting up after the 1st indictment on 3/30 in the chart BD88 loves to post. They will likely have a negative effect in the general election. I hate that the Democrats played that card, but it seems to be working as planned.

Yes, any Republican nominee will be attacked, but if Trump is the nominee, the election will no longer be about Biden and liberal's mismanagement of our nation's economy, foreign policy, and woke agenda but it will be about TRUMP TRUMP TRUMP.

That Banana Republic strategy should never be used, but the way to beat it is not to play along with it and let the Democrats dictate your choice. The way to beat it is to elect someone who can win and will actually make real progress in draining the swamp with proven effective governance and better appointments than someone like Christopher Wray.

The thing I love about this post is you literally chastised me a few days ago for posting a DeSantis response on a Vivek thread and you told me I should go back here. Since then you have posted multiple Vivek posts that don't have anything to do with responding to anything, just posting about your guy. So what is it to be? I did as you asked and yet you almost immediately came to this thread to post about Vivek. Or does that rule only apply to DeSantis supporters and you can do whatever you want?

As for the comment it is about the campaign folks not people here, though I make detailed points and have said positive things about both Vivek and Trump pretty regularly. Johnny Maga is emblematic of that. He's not interested in rational conversation and constantly throw out things to deflect from what Trump is doing or saying.

Your logic is flawed hawg. First off, DeSantis has been attacked at every turn and won. They came after him during Covid. They came after him over Disney. They tried to stop him cleaning up the voting roles and procedures in Florida. He kicked their ass every time. He's a very smart lawyer who surrounds himself with very smart lawyers. He knows how to play the game and not leave himself open. He also loves to go on offense and win. They have also already done massive opp research on him and they can't find anything because he is about as clean as you will find in a politician. He's got the best shot at running that gauntlet.

Will they come for him? Of course. They will lie and coerce and do anything they can. He just is prepared and ready.

Trump has been treated very unjustly but he also has been a fool. He is careless and puts terrible people around him. He says stupid things and picks fights with no real end goal. They already have him in the trap and he has no realistic way out. Even if he finds a way to beat all the charges in unfriendly venues it's going to overshadow him and make it so he can't govern.

BTW, this isn't about being "Happy" about Trump being attacked. That's actually a huge annoyance. It keeps Trump from actually talking about issues and garners sympathy for him. If he does get the nomination I sure as hell won't be "Happy" when he loses but it certainly seems the most likely thing to happen once the media goes back to attacking him daily and highlighting all of his mistakes. They will start asking him difficult questions. He already has Unfavorables around 60%, it's going to get ugly. It's about winning.

I mean Scott Pressler is great but he certainly isn't responsible for Florida turning Dark Red. This is troll level posting.

DeSantis has a highly organized ground game in Florida and has been working to flip the registrations in every county since the beginning. He has 4 left. He has methodically worked his organization and made Florida into the model for success. Pressler isn't even really focused on Florida because it isn't a Swing State anymore. He works really hard but he simply doesn't have the resources behind him to be terribly effective because McDaniel won't support him. Dhillon (who DeSantis endorsed) wanted to fund the hell out of him but that ship sailed.

My comments were about "it's all about gaslighting all the time" and lack of rational conversation. Your blabbering about what Vivek REALLY meant when he said his parents had no money is the point of my comment. Own up to it. You post nearly on the daily clips from Trump's speeches taken completely out of context to paint his words in whatever direction you wish. You are no better than the CNN reporter Vivek chopped down the other day. You want to talk about gaslighting? You do it practically every day, but not about Desantis. No, just clearing up misconceptions. Scott Pressler is one of the best things that happened to the Republican Party in recent time. How is building someone up being negative? There's a big reason many are calling for him to take Ronna's spot. Long road to November. I just don't like it when people don't give credit where credit is due.
