Beyond that it also ignores one of the most important issues of all. This isn't 2020 it's 2024. Trump is not the same person as he was then and the situation has also changed significantly. Trump has shifted on a lot of positions and he's going to be 78 next year.

Further these are student visas not visas overall, "the United States Supreme Court reinstated key provisions narrowed to apply only to foreign nationals who have no "credible claim of a bona fide relationship with a person or entity in the United States"

There is still very broad authority for revoking visas. If you are protesting governmental policy they can send your butt home. You are a guest if you are here on visa and we don't have to keep you here.

You are assuming multiple things that don't apply to this situation. That was a general ban of visas supposedly based around religion. This is about a specific action for someone that agreed to terms of a visa. The terms are very general and give broad power to the government to revoke it. You have no right to the visa.

I merely ask the question because regardless of who wins, it's important we rally behind the primary winner. Obviously I'm hopeful that's Vivek, but we don't need a repeat of 2020 where Bush acolytes worked against Trump and the America first candidates. I think their goal was to stymie the tide so they could gain another political foothold and keep the status quo. Let's not have that happen again. We are seeing that play out in the speaker of the house vote currently and it need not happen.

I agree with you in principle but I think it's odd you are going after DeSantis folks for talking about policy while Trump has a major supporter who just essentially said DeSantis is responsible for a Vet killing himself. Trump hasn't exactly been love and kisses and he refuses to say he will support the GOP nominee if it isn't him or someone he approves of (and won't define what that means). DeSantis has said he will approve the GOP candidate.

It's just such a weird double standard to me and the only possible justification is "Well, Trump is the frontrunner so he gets to do and say whatever he wants and everyone else should support him" in spite of the fact we are still a few months from the first vote being cast.
