The only two viable options are DeSantis and Haley, but this isn't a 100 meter dash. It's Trump against Fat Albert and the Cosby kids. Trump will win the republicans primary, DeSantis time will come but not 2024.
2024 is it. If the Democrats win in 2024, they will make sure no Republican will ever have a chance again as they will federalize elections and enact all of their 2020 tactics nationwide.

If you want to ride the Trump train one last time, this is where it will take us.
I am not on the Trump train, I just think the other candidates are on the little engine that could except thinking you can won't get it done.

Trump has created a sh*tstorm of the republican primary. But it is what it is and Trump won't be beat in the primary. It's going to be Trump against a Biden Newsom ticket.
Then this country is done.

We have at least an even chance at winning with Trump. He needs to pick someone like Tulsi Gabbard and we could win. It's the best of bad options, and I think Trump will do things like finish the wall, get the economy going again, stop the endless foreign aid, etc..

A liberal, lame duck, leadershipless, friendless moron...that's the guy you think will get that done?

He did none of that WITH power. With none? He has no chance.
Lol, another unhinged post. so I take it you will be voting for Biden. That is your other choice besides Trump or abstain, which is 1/2 vote for Biden. DeSantis should be polling in the 30s right now if he stood a chance at beating Trump. If this was a football game, it would be 35 to 7 or so at the half at this point, but holding onto hope for a comeback.

Nope. Biden is a progressive liberal, Trump is a lib but not a progressive.

I'll vote 3rd party or not at all. I don't vote for liberals, even fake Republican ones like Trump.
Well, that's just what the republicans need to 100 percent guarantee a loss. A conservative third party candidate to split up our vote,

I don't like the situation any more than you do, but it doesn't mean we should bash the eventual republican nominee partly because our candidate can't win the primary.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Donald Trump's political operation has helped pay the legal expenses of more than a dozen people contacted by prosecutors investigating the former president, tying up millions of dollars that otherwise could be used for his 2024 White House bid.

Reuters has identified 13 potential witnesses or co-defendants who were represented by law firms that received payments from a political group run by Trump, based on interviews and a review of court records and campaign finance disclosures.

The payments were disclosed in campaign finance reports as general payments to law firms rather than specific payments to individuals.

Those law firms, which include Brand Woodward, Dhillon Law Group and Greenberg Traurig, received more than $2.1 million in the first six months of this year from Save America, a Trump group that is separate from his campaign but played a major role raising money to support him as the frontrunner for the 2024 Republican nomination.

Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley said that Donald Trump's campaign sent her a mocking gift to follow up on the former president's insulting new nickname for her

and while some accused her of a hoax, the Trump campaign owned up to the stunt in a text to a reporter.

On Sunday, Haley posted a photo on X the social media platform formerly known as Twitter showing a birdcage and some birdseed that she said was left outside of her hotel room by the Trump campaign.

This was obviously a reference to how Trump insulted her as a "birdbrain" following her second consecutive debate in which many pundits declared her the winner.

"After a day of campaigning, this is the message waiting for me outside my hotel room," Haley tweeted, adding the hashtags #PrettyPatheticTryAgain and #YouJustMadeMyCaseForMe.

but sure, count on his voters to be so dumb to not realize Trump is saying soundbites now - where he did the EXACT OPPOSITE as the President.

NV is a tough one to see going red with either candidate, DeSantis has a better chance, but NV is blue.

I suppose I'm a little more optimistic about Trumps chances in GA and AZ than you are. Trump has a chance mostly because Biden is a babbling idiot at this point.

if only we could have had an actual election to test your hypothesis.

oh yeah, we have actually had FOUR ELECTIONS which decisively prove you are wrong.

2020 Trump loses Georgia
2021 Trump "endorsed" senators lose Georgia (not that Trump cared)
2022 Trump endorsed and selected Senate Candidate loses Georgia
2022 Trump enemy and candidate he campaigned against Wins in Georgia (Governor Kemp)

but sure, Trump 'could' win Georgia.

and when Trump loses Georgia a fifth time, the Always Trumpers will be back claiming he can win it in a sixth election.

Lol, again, I take it you will be another person that abstains or votes third party come the General Election, which will only serve to re-elect sloppy Joe. DeSantis is at 14%, and he should be at above 30% if he had a chance to beat Trump. There is only one debate left. I prefer to live in reality than a hope and dream of making up 25% for DeSantis.

DeSantis has actually lost 10% since April, and Trump has gained over 10% since April in the polls. DeSantis needed to shine in the debates to go from the mid-20's to the mid-30's by now, but instead he went from the mid-20's to the 13-14% range.

Endorsements are overrated, and 2020 was before Biden came out of his basement to be the babbling idiot he is.

For the record, if it was between DeSantis and Trump, I would vote DeSantis, but that choice will not be available for the General.

Trump's strategy is to keep playing the victim card.

It is why he's in NYC today.

The only thing that helps his campaign is whining that he's being persecuted. Not only does it keep MAGA comparing to him Jesus Christ, but it keep the non-MAGA supporters on his side because they feel sorry for him.

again you are just incorrect about what will happen.

EVEN IF every single Republican votes Trump across the country he WILL STILL LOSE a general election.

just like in 2020 when Trump got around 96% of the GOP vote.

so if this stupid party will keep nominating Trumpers to lose- we might as well lose so greatly that even the Always Trumpers can't blame 'cheating' 'steal' 'establishment' 'Desanctus' 'deep state'.

also, for those of us with a sense of morality and decency- why should I vote for a sure loser who is ALSO a @#$#$ maniac who lacks all integrity and is surrounded by similar dbags?

it took Ford losing in 1976 to give us Reagan in 80, it appears the GOP has learned nothing and so it will take Trump losing AGAIN in 24 to give us DeSantis in 28.

Faced with a litany of criminal charges, Donald Trump on Sunday told a campaign rally in Iowa that he would prefer to die by electrocution rather than be eaten by a shark if he ever found himself on a rapidly sinking, electrically powered boat.

The former president and frontrunner for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination delivered the bizarre remarks during a speech in the community of Ottuma.

"If I'm sitting down and that boat is going down and I'm on top of a battery and the water starts flooding in, I'm getting concerned, but then I look 10 yards to my left and there's a shark over there, so I have a choice of electrocution and a shark, you know what I'm going to take? Electrocution," Trump said.

"I will take electrocution every single time, do we agree?"

Another reason why he was a 1 term President

Just win IA and the dam breaks.
Quote:

"Ron DeSantis is a genuine threat to Trump in South Carolina. Primary voters are interested in his candidacy, generally approve of his record as FL governor and are open to what he has to say. However a defeatist attitude exists among voters which suggests DeSantis 'can't win' which creates [a] sense of momentum towards Trump," said the analysis of 10,000 voters provided to Secrets.
Quote:

"The latest look at over 10,000 likely primary voters in South Carolina shows Trump at 56% favorable, compared to 46% for DeSantis. Yet, much of the negative sentiment regarding DeSantis is driven by the junk polling narrative that he can't beat Trump in a primary, whereas Trump's negatives are hard and fast. With Tim Scott and Nikki Haley not seen as presidential in their home state, DeSantis can break through and finish close, or even win, in South Carolina."

What is 100% a given is that there will absolutely be no accountability by Trump or his supporters should he win the Primary then go on to lose the General. No acceptance that Trump and Ronna formed absolutely no ground game or counter to the Dems GOTV. No acceptance that after his juvenile behavior and crapping all over everyone who didn't kiss his ass maybe Trump actually turned off a significant amount of voters. No acceptance that maybe people didn't want to vote a senile octogenarian into the most powerful position in the world right after getting rid of the previous senile octogenarian.

Instead all you see is excuse after excuse, including "DeSantis supporters threw the election for the Dems out of spite," and/or, "Dem cheating, of course."
