Also interesting to note that Haley has now edged ahead of Ramaswamy...
May not make a difference in the end, but she has momentum...tonight is a big night for her...
Haley is mainly taking from Christie and Scott in the Neocon/Traditional GOP Est lane. Those are folks that will not vote Trump but don't love DeSantis on policy but will pick him over Trump. Haley got some momentum mainly because she was kind of forgotten and did well.
DeSantis has two massive sledgehammers he can use on her though. First is she went all in on "Disney you should move to South Carolina!" and DeSantis has had as close to a total victory there as is possible. Second is she is all about Ukraine and DeSantis just needs to talk about how we are funding Ukraine with debt and ignoring our problems at home. If she gets testy he can lean on the "As the only candidate that has actually served and been in a war zone" line and he can remind people he served on Foreign Relations in the House.
Vivek does seem to have faded from his bounce immediately after the debate as a lot of people looked closer at him and the more they looked the less they liked.
As we get closer to December people will start paying attention but they still really aren't as of yet. The timing of the DeSantis/Newsom debate at the end of November is brilliant for him to let it just sit out there as a separator for him vs the others and then to have a high profile event as we are starting to get into the real primary season. There is also increasing doubt around Biden being the candidate on the other side and that is a big game changer to the race, we just don't know for sure how it will shake out.
