Don't worry, Ramaswamy will post the same thing soon, he was just waiting for Desantis to think of it first.

Another strong poll for DeSantis. This one is a newer org but Non Partisan as well. All phone calls.

MAGA, the MSM, and the Dems were just salivating at the chance to rip him for being on the campaign trail while a hurricane hit. Sorry guys

Want to know all the things he said about Trump? Would fill several novels, not just one tweet.

Is Rush now the bar because if it is. DeSantis would lose by way more than he's losing now.

Another poll that Trump and his supporters will pretend does not exist as they live in the alternate reality of Magadonia.

Biden is 'old,' Trump is 'corrupt': AP-NORC poll has ominous signs for both in possible 2024 rematch

BY WILL WEISSERT, EMILY SWANSON AND DARLENE SUPERVILLE August 28, 2023

WASHINGTON (AP) President Joe Biden is "old" and "confused," and former President Donald Trump is "corrupt" and "dishonest." Those are among the top terms Americans use when they're asked to describe the Democrat in the White House and the Republican best positioned to face him in next year's election.

Unflattering portraits of Biden and Trump emerge clearly in a new poll by The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research, which asked an open-ended question about what comes to mind when people think of them.

Americans are divided along party lines over Trump's actions in election cases, AP-NORC poll shows
Trump, meanwhile, has been indicted in four cases featuring 91 total criminal counts and elicits words such as "corrupt" and "crooked" (named by 15%), along with "bad" and other generally negative comments (11%). Not far behind are words like "liar" and "dishonest" (8%).

"He looks like he needs to be someone's kindly grandpa on the arm, not someone at the wheel of power," Justin Campbell, a 27-year-old Democrat and security guard in the Brookhaven area of Mississippi, said of Biden. He was even more negative about Trump, though, saying that the former president "acts like a kindergartner when people tell him 'no.'"

Campbell suggested that Trump reads so little about policy and national security that he might be "functionally illiterate." He said he plans to vote for Biden next year and, "I eagerly await Donald Trump being in jail."

Americans are going to choose the old dementia patient again over corrupt Trump

Winning! /Trumpers
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." - Sir Winston Churchill

so they then proceed to support Trump, Ronna McDaniel, Kari Lake over and over again for loss after loss...

Trump is at the apex now. The mug shot was it. There will be no more indictments or other events to give Trump any bump.

There will be more debates. If Trump shows, he will be eviscerated by the field except Vivek, who will kiss his azz. If he doesn't show, he will lose supporters.

I also think as people drop out of the race, their voters won't go to Trump, but to another candidate. That also helps Ron.

Like nearly every issue in TrumpWorld, that has been decided as "inoperative" now.

Please forget that the Trump campaign stated the exact opposite last year.

Excellent observation and agreed

the objective has to be to get Pence out of the race before Iowa -

and Christie out of the race before New Hampshire.

I know I'm not the only one looking forward to seeing Vivek look Trump in the eyes and tell him he's the best then turn to the crowd and tell them Trump is the best but they need to vote for him instead.

Post-debate numbers are starting to bake in nationally...

Appears both Trump and DeSantis take dips (interesting on Trump as many folks here are convinced he gets a post-indictment "boost", and that simply does not appear to be the case this time), Ramaswamy flattens out, and both Haley and Pence appear to have a little momentum after that first debate...

There is no longer an indictment upside for trump. There will be no more indictments. He has been fundraising off of that. So now what?

Also interesting to note that both Emerson (RV) and McLaughlin (LV) polls are both showing Trump with the edge when head-to-head vs Biden... However, it should be noted that the same Emerson poll showed Trump losing R support (6 points) post debate while Haley picked up the most gains (5 points)...DeSantis picked up 2 points, Ramaswamy lost a point, and Pence was the second-highest gainer picking up 4 points...

I'm still not convinced he was really getting a significant "boost" from indictments, and even if we was, I am confident it wasn't coming from his hardline supporters... Those supporters were already baked into his numbers (meaning I think anyone claiming that the libs, establishment, and media were pushing Trump to be the nominee so he'd be easy to defeat in the general by stirring up his base with indictments is FOS... They don't need to be stirred up...if we assume he did get a bump from indictments, it came from outside his base...but again, I am still not convinced that any boost was terribly significant in his polling)...

I believe it was the on the fence conservatives that shifted towards him after the indictments, responding to the selective prosecution narrative. I think that should be over, and believe a good portion of them shift back to another candidate in time, whether it be DeSantis, Vivek, or someone else.

It's possible...

What I found interesting in today's data points were:

1) No indictment bump
2) Polls showing Trump beating Biden head-to-head (from LV and RV polls)
3) Post-debate polling shows a boost for Haley (5), Pence (4), and DeSantis (2)

I do think the narrative of "Trump can't beat Biden, only DeSantis has a chance" is proving to be false...if we assume that it would be a fair election...

In a fair election, I think several could beat Biden, and it isn't limited to Trump or DeSantis... I think we will see that narrative start to shift to "well who can beat the D that actually runs not named Joe Biden?" by the end of the year, because it just doesn't look like Biden is going to be a sustainable candidate for the D's in 2024...

And no, I don't think it will be Harris either...she polls worse...
