I don't disagree, but since a giant chunk of Trump's campaign messaging is just him lying about not losing in 2020 (or apparently a couple states he lost in 2016 too) it's really not that far off topic. Good contrast to draw with DeSantis whose messaging is pretty much 100% policy based.

Wow. This Bartiromo interview really went "not well" for Trump.

How soon until we hear "WEF-Maria hates Trump!!! Not fair to him!!"
Well, Fox does hate Trump, so there's that.

So does the majority of the country. What's your point?

Trump got more votes than any Republican in history. And after Dominion was finished with the totals.

Lsu scored the most points in 50 years and we still beat them by scoring 74 points.

And LSU still blames that on officials. The fumble/not fumble that was reviewed to be specific.

And they beat the **** out of us the next year, 50-7.

just like Trump is going to do his next shot with that asshat Biden. Though, it may actually be a bit close than that LSU ass whippin.

Just like this example, A&M was not as good and just like LSU, Trump has gotten stronger with his base.

Though, he doesn't have a Heisman QB running his team, which is why he won't be getting 90 million votes (winning 50-7).

I guess you missed my point. It doesn't matter how many points or votes the loser had. I laugh everytime someone says, yeah but Trump got a lot of votes. He lost to JOE BIDEN. That's all that matters.

I suspect he will get a lot of votes next time, too. ( but less would be my guess) . He will also bring out the other side like no other Republican can. And ,most importantly, millions of people will turn out to NOT vote for him ( from his own party, from independents, from moderates ) . The never trumpers voters are consistently under valued on this board.

He has not. His base hasn't helped him with an election for almost 8 years now. What makes this time different?

One of the dumber attempted gotcha's I have read.
Take West U in Houston it might have voted for Biden but lots of Republicans live there and they generally are wealthier and more likely to contribute to political campaigns than places like Longview TX

Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) is planning to announce a policy proposal on Tuesday focused on revamping the military and steering it away from its emphasis on social justice .

DeSantis, who is running for president in 2024, believes his plan will succeed in rooting "'woke' ideology" out of the military and returning the entity's focus to "mission accomplishment."

In addition to removing prominent diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives in the military, the proposal will aim to ensure that people are promoted "based on merit and achievement."

Pretty sure I saw an article a while back trying to attack Desantis' time serving at Guantanamo.

Their "star witness" for this article? One of the prisoners. Lol, I'd love for the Dems to try that tactic and complainant during the General Election.

Since its an attack from the left, watch Trump & Co. go for it.

I feel like Trump is going full Costanza and trying to intentionally lose. He continues to make statements that fly in the face of reason (more weapons to Ukraine, attacking the IA governor, etc). like Costanza dragging the World Series trophy around the parking lot behind his car. It's like he doesn't want to quit, but he also doesn't want to win.
The amazing thing to me is Trump is just making all these mistakes but then I listen to the news and they just talk about his polls and how amazing he is doing. Then if they mention DeSantis they will say he is in disarray and isn't connecting. They don't actually talk about what they are doing or saying or anything. It's just repeating the narrative. Then a few days later they repeat the same narrative and wonder why things aren't changing.

Well if you don't actually talk about the campaigns and the candidates and their positions then people don't have any new information to change their minds. The stories just aren't about the race outside of the hardcore junkies, even the big podcasters are barely talking about it beyond the surface stuff and often the information they have is just wrong because they aren't even paying attention closely.

That's going to change though. It may have started from last weekend with the Tucker event. it will pick up a bit after the debate. Then by the Fall and into the Winter as Iowa is getting closer people will start to pay attention. When that happens we will see how this ends up.
They're going to keep churning out as many polls as needed to try to drive donors away from DeSantis and make people think Trump is inevitable. We know it works on the weak minded because we see posts here by people who are voting for Trump simply because "muh feelz" and they want to back a "winner". (Never mind he has lost every election since 2016.)

Some of the polls have Trump at 80% to 90% of the primary vote which is ludicrous, but it gives the media something to talk about, and lets Cult45 have their daily dopamine hit.
DeSantis is going to have to fight and claw for everything if he wants it. I think he will but we will find out. Inevitably he will get his shot but he has to keep working and wait for his opportunity. Just chip away day after day and stay positive and fight.

I truly believe Trump is far more fragile than most people realize, one of these mistakes will bite him and I think if the momentum starts running against he will have trouble reversing it.

DeSantis says the days of appeasing Iran are over, which is the same position Trump had as President.

Predictably, Trump acolytes twist it around, claim DeSantis is a neocon wanting war, and are now in favor of appeasing Iran.

He might not be, but the accusation is already being repeated around the various Trump sites, and by Trump acolytes on Twitter. Cult45 is so brain dead they will repeat any attack on DeSantis no matter what it is.

This is a master class in conservative politics.
Only an idiot would choose Trump's whiny loser excuses over this exposition on the dangers of the MRNA vaccines. DeSantis is really stepping up his game the last two days at rallies all over the country. Some great clips in Twitter from his rallies!

Total votes cast per election for all canidates by year:

  • 2000-105,421,423
  • 2004-122,295,345
  • 2008-131,313,820
  • 2012-129,085,410
  • 2016-136,669,276
  • 2020-158,429,631

What happened between 2000 and 2004? Electronic voting machines, notably Diebold. 17+ million more votes.

Then Obama's historic election only saw an increase of right at 9 million. His relection campaign in 2012 actually decreased by 2 million.

Trump/Hillary in 2016 improved by 7 million.

But 2020 increased by 22 million?

Now compare 2000 to 2020. Was there actually an increase of total registered voters of 53 million?

so now you are denying actual voter roll totals?

that's the level of analysis we are discussing now?! that there really weren't that many Americans able to vote? and only you have found this out?!

quick- tell Donald Trump so that he can go back and win the 2020 election!

at some point Republicans (or those claiming to be Republicans) are going to have to accept reality- or just keep losing elections ad infinitum.

Ag93 as always raises the salient point.

the truth is we can't rely on the leftist mainstream media or the Trumpers to tell the truth.

so it's up to DeSantis, his campaign, and the $200 million dollars he is raising with his PAC Never Back Down to get out the truth.

that's what the race will come down to.

you can bet that when DeSantis starts to gain in Iowa- that Trump will begin to debate.
