Trump is going to clean out the FBI and keep them in line. First off though he wants to make sure they can have that giant beautiful building in DC next to the DOJ so they can work together more closely.

Should be disqualifying to be in the Republican primary with that ridiculous position.

Has Trump ever heard of zoom? He shut down the country, he should know people don't need to meet in person to communicate.

Appears to be a substantial difference there... RDS wants 50% of government out of DC, Trump wants more buildings there.

Which policy is more palatable to conservatives?

Come on, Trump made a very convincing case for how we need to make it as convenient as possible for the DOJ and FBI to coordinate. I mean God forbid they might have to get on a plane or take a Zoom call. Hell they already took time out of Wray's vacation to have to answer questions from Congress. Don't you realize the importance of making life as convenient and easy as possible for them? What's next? Are you going to cut back on the amenities of the new building? The horror!

He's certainly learned his lesson. He'll definitely drain the swamp this time.

Anyone that seriously thinks this country is headed in the wrong direction needs to listen to this. Please do not vote for this man in the primary.

They're waiting to see how the Trump camp spins this lunacy - that up until he said it, would've been considered a complete non-starter for ANY conservative.

how do we know the Only Trumpers are a cult?

Mike Pence: "We need to support Ukraine."

Trumpers: "Mike Pence is a neocon murderer who is an idiot!!"

Donald Trump: I stand with Lindsay Graham in South Carolina and he is my state chairman, and "we need to send even more weapons to Ukraine than even Biden does" if Putin won't surrender in a phone call.

Trumpers: "Slava Ukraina!!"

"You will get so tired of losing,

you will beg me- Mr. President we are so tired of losing!!"

unfortunately for the Republic, so many of the Trumpers never get tired of losing.

It's who they are and what they actually prefer. It gives them the chance to whine and complain for the next five years about their lives- and blame it on someone and something other than themselves.

At least ending us support for the war is overwhelmingly popular now among conservatives.

TPUSA isn't really conservative anymore. It is now all in on Trumpism which is not conservative.

This "poll" was taken at their latest event where Trump spoke. You'd get the same result if you polled people at any other Trump rally.
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. Of course, nothing is ever Trump's fault. The god king is incapable of errors.

Trump got more votes than any Republican in history. And after Dominion was finished with the totals.

And he still lost, both the popular vote (by a lot) and the EC, because he's hated by most of the country.

Reagan got more than 58% of the vote in '84 and won everything but Minnesota and DC.

Total votes cast per election for all canidates by year:

  • 2000-105,421,423
  • 2004-122,295,345
  • 2008-131,313,820
  • 2012-129,085,410
  • 2016-136,669,276
  • 2020-158,429,631

What happened between 2000 and 2004? Electronic voting machines, notably Diebold. 17+ million more votes.

Then Obama's historic election only saw an increase of right at 9 million. His relection campaign in 2012 actually decreased by 2 million.

Trump/Hillary in 2016 improved by 7 million.

But 2020 increased by 22 million?

Now compare 2000 to 2020. Was there actually an increase of total registered voters of 53 million?

Two huge factors drove turnout in 2020.

1. The hate for Donald Trump.
2. People stuck at home because of COVID. This turned into more opportunities to vote because people were more aware that there was an election going on.

Not buying that. If anything, covid should have depressed turnout, not increased it. And a lot of people had died in the voter demographic that were reliable voters, older people. Even in NY state, there were more votes than registered voters, like 300,000+ of them in 2020.

The other thing that has affected those numbers is the formation of ERIC around 2012. Voter rolls became an even bigger mess than they already were.

I feel like Trump is going full Costanza and trying to intentionally lose. He continues to make statements that fly in the face of reason (more weapons to Ukraine, attacking the IA governor, etc). like Costanza dragging the World Series trophy around the parking lot behind his car. It's like he doesn't want to quit, but he also doesn't want to win.

The amazing thing to me is Trump is just making all these mistakes but then I listen to the news and they just talk about his polls and how amazing he is doing. Then if they mention DeSantis they will say he is in disarray and isn't connecting. They don't actually talk about what they are doing or saying or anything. It's just repeating the narrative. Then a few days later they repeat the same narrative and wonder why things aren't changing.

Well if you don't actually talk about the campaigns and the candidates and their positions then people don't have any new information to change their minds. The stories just aren't about the race outside of the hardcore junkies, even the big podcasters are barely talking about it beyond the surface stuff and often the information they have is just wrong because they aren't even paying attention closely.

That's going to change though. It may have started from last weekend with the Tucker event. it will pick up a bit after the debate. Then by the Fall and into the Winter as Iowa is getting closer people will start to pay attention. When that happens we will see how this ends up.

The biggest factor is that the Democrats got really serious about shifting election laws to favor mail in ballots and they spent most of their money on tracking down anyone that could vote and getting those ballots. They also did some things that were cheating I'm sure but the bigger issue is they focused on votes while Trump was focusing on rallies. They figured out the candidate doesn't matter if you just set up micro targeted campaigns and send out legions of paid people to scour 90% Dem areas making sure you got every possible vote through complex digital tracking. That's how you get a massive increase in votes.

Listen to Scott Pressler. He is desperately trying to get this going on the GOP side. DeSantis is building an operation. Turning Point is as well and it is really too bad they have sold out so badly for Trump because Trump has no plan. It was a major mistake to make McDaniel RNC Chair when Dhillon was right there but that's water under the bridge. The DNC doesn't do anything either, it's really a half dozen Dem Billionaires that fund their own operations and control everything which is a story you will have a hard time ever finding even though it's the truth. "Zuckerbucks" is just one part of that.

Republicans have to fight back both in messaging and in GOTV or else they will continue to lose. Of course the dumbest thing is Trump going out there and claiming he actually won instead of fixing the damn problem and fighting back, he's going with the same tactics as before and will lose badly if he is the nominee.

Great moment here for DeSantis today in South Carolina. Lady is a passionate Trump supporter who is torn between Trump and DeSantis but in the end admits that DeSantis has made an excellent case for her vote. DeSantis gives a great high road response in thanking her and talking about how unfairly Trump was treated but that this is about the future and making sure where we go forward.

I would agree except the votes weren't consistent enough. Too many Republicans won including Kemp and Yee in GA and AZ. I don't disagree on the cheating but my point is still what do you do about it? For instance in Nevada you had hundreds of thousands of Registered Republicans that didn't vote that would have flipped it, that played out in most of the Battlegrounds. You have to get them all or damn close to it. That requires a LOT of legwork. You also need a serious legal team fighting from the start on everything just like the Dems do.

Will it be enough? I don't know but damnit we have to fight.

They're going to keep churning out as many polls as needed to try to drive donors away from DeSantis and make people think Trump is inevitable. We know it works on the weak minded because we see posts here by people who are voting for Trump simply because "muh feelz" and they want to back a "winner". (Never mind he has lost every election since 2016.)

Some of the polls have Trump at 80% to 90% of the primary vote which is ludicrous, but it gives the media something to talk about, and lets Cult45 have their daily dopamine hit.
