Agree here too. His surrogates can help with this but given that Trump makes it easy by being a lying, garbage person the contrast should be easy to see.

Those guys are going to attack DeSantis imo. Attacking Trump does know good, but to take down number 2 keeps their campaign alive longer this able to raise more money.

Unfortunately I doubt Trump shows. Deep down he's a coward who knows the debate will remind everyone who hasn't been paying attention what a complete clown he is. Will probably just host another rally at the same where he can continue to lie without being challenged.

I think it will be shown that it would have been much better for Trump, DeSantis, and the GOP for Ron to either sit out this election and prepare for 2028 or work with Trump and run as VP for good exposure even if Trump lost. Ron grossly underestimated Trump's star power, persistence and determination. Don & Ron fighting each other only damages each other and helps the dopey Democrats !

There will be no 2028 if the Democrats in in 2024 and have total control of Congress, which is what will happen if Trump is the nominee.

Also, DeSantis cannot run with Trump because 1 of them will not get Florida's electoral votes.

It is not now. Electors do not vote on VP anymore, since they are on a political party ticket.

Mid-March people were ready to move on from Trump, then Trump gets indicted and gets a 20 point bump. Trump didn't do anything to really earn that bump. It was Republican outrage at the politically motivated indictment that manifested itself towards Trump. Eventually, that support will soften.

Trump will probably die in the next 12 months

Ron will easily slide into the spot at that point if he hasn't passed the alive Trump by that point

Unfortunately, it actually has turned into a "post Trump lying and making outlandish statements" thread, which means the Trumpers mostly don't swing by anymore , cause they'd rather stick to bumper sticker thoughts about him than have to justify or defend his actual statements.

Until the Dems slow roll out another big development against Trump. About 1 every 3-4 months will keep the Trump base on the hook enough to screw up the Rep primary.

While already rejecting donald's chance of winning if somehow he's winning the nomination (which he won't), the national voters will for sure reject the GOP ticket with both from Florida or any other state. And to presume DeSantos would accept a VP role when he's a successful leader is unrealistic.

Maybe in a rational world but Trump isn't rational. If DeSantis agrees to be Trump"s vp he ties his career to Trump no matter what he does. Trump will burn him without a second thought or if Trump implodes then DeSantis goes with him.
