I've been asking for 6 months what Trump is going to do different if elected again. No one can answer.

I also asked for the names of 2 competent people that will join Trump's administration. crickets.

Lastly, I haven't seen one Trump supporter address the fact that he will be 78 years old. I want to know honestly if you think hes going to get anything done at that age.

1. Nothing. Libs had to cheat to win and they had Biden hidden. That dude is totally exposed and won't get near the votes he got last time, even after Dominion changed all those votes. Trumps base is squarely on his side. I'd he gets the labor vote again,he's there.

2. I have no idea who he's going to get.

3. He's as fit as ever. He was able to go toe to toe with a hostile media for hours and hours in his press conferences. He's able to go to event after event after event. He's probably in better shape than over half of this board.

Have a nice day.
If the libs had to "cheat to win", how is Trump going to outsmart them? He's talking about ballot harvesting but done nothing and has no plan. He has lost support among independents and women and will have an even harder time in Georgia and AZ especially because of his continued attacks on Kemp and anyone that has ever supported McCain. Understand a lot of those folks agree with him for the most part on policy by they really don't like politicians they like being personally insulted over and over again by Trump. Trump isn't reaching out to any new voters and he is pissing off a lot of people that voted for him last time. The ferociousness of the lies against DeSantis are pretty gross too.

You may not care who he has on his team but considering his appointments were his biggest downfall last time that's a very important question. You HAVE to have a team. You HAVE to have highly competent people in your Cabinet and surrounding you. Right now it looks like Lindsey Graham may end up as his AG or Sec of State, he's almost certainly getting a major job in his Admin.

He is not "fit as ever". He's barely doing events. His rally in SC was his first true rally since Waco. He looked terrible at his golf tournament. He's losing his humor and is less patient. Go watch some of the interviews with Trump when he took office in '16 vs now, he's not the same guy. There are flashes but he is clearly older and not as sharp. Biggest thing is he isn't patient, he just yells and goes off on tangents. There is just no discipline at all now.

So why is he doing well? That's the big question. The answer is obvious. For now he is riding off of his past image and not his current one. The MSM is ignoring all of his mistakes for now but they are collecting receipts. I mean in the last couple of days he tweeted about how 41 million votes disappeared in 2020 which is easily disproven and he posted Obama's home address. Those are just stupid mistakes that kill news cycles when people are paying attention. For now they are just ignoring it and letting it sit on Truth, Trump supporters think it's funny. Soon enough they will bury him with that idiocy and remind everyone over and over again how Trump still behaves. It will suck up the oxygen just like it did when he was President and give them the noose to hang him again.

Which "truths" would that be? That Trump won't be 78 years old this time next year? That he advocated to skip due process for the 2A? That he couldn't advance legislation and relied on EOs? That he appointed Wray? That he's slammed his very own hand picked people when they say things he doesn't agree with? That he couldn't fire fauci?

Which selective "truths" is it you think conservatives should accept without seeking out a better candidate?

there are LITERALLY 58 pages of DeSantis supporters posting truths in this very thread.

which is why I created it- so when Trump Cultists come back and lie, it's easy to disprove them all in one place.

Attorney who challenged Trump 2020 election results relinquishes law license

Washington Examiner, by Rachel Schilke

Attorney Lin Wood, known for filing challenges seeking to overturn former President Donald Trump's 2020 election loss, is giving up his law license instead of facing possible disbarment.

On Tuesday, Wood asked officials in Georgia, his home state, to "retire" his law license in light of "disciplinary proceedings pending against me." In the request, Wood acknowledged that after relinquishing his license, he is "prohibited from practicing law in this State and in any other state or jurisdiction and that I may not reapply for admission."

They don't deal in truths. Their greatest joy comes from calling people that align with them politically, stupid. And they just can't seem to grasp why DeSantis is struggling to catch Trump in the polls.

Honestly, I can't figure out why he's off to a sputtering start myself…and I'd happily vote for him…he just hasn't gained much traction yet…still has time obviously…but I still think he needs to grab a headline or two…the spotlight continues to avoid him for now…and I don't honestly know why…

It's very clear why: trump is running. Trump will always grab headlines. There is absolutely no reason to cover desantis when you have a trump to cover

We're a long way from the primary, the only states that really matter are the early ones, and the debates will help a lot. Trump's current polling is solely a reflection of most people not really paying attention yet. His base will be capped at the same 25-30% it was capped at in 2016, so hopefully the rest of the republicans are smart enough to get out in time.

I genuinely don't know. Society is incredibly stupid and constantly seeking dopamine hits over making sound decisions. I'm not sure desantis can beat trump. Which is why my ire with trump grows daily. He could single handedly give the democrats power while simultaneously preventing us from having one of the best candidates we've ever seen win the presidency. All because he thinks he's the savior and no one can do it but him.

I'll vote for trump if it comes to it but I believe him winning the nomination could bury this country. Not just because we lose the White House again, but because of what can happen down the ballot.

I wouldn't call them stupid...for one, there are a lot of well-educated people who are pro-Trump, and calling them "stupid" isn't going to endear them to DeSantis...

I would argue that there is a significant segment of the R vote that is fatigued...fatigued by the Left and the constant willingness of the Right to compromise and continue to give while the Left only takes...

I think that's why Trump rose to power in first place...he was very clear about NOT wanting to build bridges, and many on the Right gravitated toward that...

I also think it's dangerous to speak in absolutes, and while I think DeSantis might be more electable in the General (in a fair fight...no fraud...and I put nothing past the Left when it comes to fraud, even if DeSantis is the man at the top), I don't see him having that ability (yet) to create massive appeal across the R electorate because he just hasn't been able to grab some headlines that get fair-weather voters looking his direction...

I think he probably will dodge them because he's a coward, and he knows it will expose him as the clown he is compared to the other candidates. Same reason he's not back on twitter.

Still think the debates will help people get more familiar with DeSantis though. And that plus his ground game in the important states will push him over the edge.

I'm not trying to call individuals stupid, but society. Like the line from men in black: "the person is smart. People are dumb, irrational animals and you know it". As a society we've been trained into seeking sound bites over true content. I don't blame any single individual that falls for it. Media is powerful. My dad is Trump til he dies. I'm not trying to insult people like him. He just doesn't get the news in the same forms I do.

I don't know how much bigger of a splash you can make than turning a purple state deep red. Or taking in Disney. Or DEI and ESG. And CBDC. He's doing all the right things, but that's not something the media can turn into a 48 hour news cycle. Meanwhile trump can scratch his ass and the media won't stop talking about it. Society at large consumes that, so we're stuck with it as our evening "news".

Trump did a pretty good job. I have no major complaints. But desantis is putting on an absolute clinic in how to attack the left and very few people are paying attention because society has a severe case of ADHD now.

Problem with this argument is it is appearances and not reality. Trump tried to compromise on virtually all of his legislative proposals and was willing to sell out on guns, amnesty, ending Obamacare, and other issues but was incompetent and got little done. He was very combative in his speeches but was always willing to compromise and cut a deal. He just sucked at it. Only bills of significance he got passed were his tax cuts that have expired, criminal justice reform, and a lot of spending during Covid. He was usually opposed to the Freedom Caucus. That's what actually happened.

He got his SC appointments through but that's mainly because of the filibuster rule change. He got trade deals done but those were bipartisan. Virtually everything else was EO.

Did he have a hostile press? Sure, but he constantly shot himself in the foot. He hasn't learned either. In the last 2 days he has said 41 million votes came out of nowhere and posted Obama's home address. Press is ignoring that for now but would destroy him and eat up news cycles if he was in office. You have to be disciplined to be effective.

It's a good question...if America is that freakin stupid and short sighted, we may very well be effed and it's only a matter of time before we are completely unrecognizable, no matter who we elect.

That is a genuine concern of mine, that our stupidity is terminal. We have a golden opportunity with Desantis, but America is so dumb and shallow, I am a little pessimistic we take advantage.

Also, I know a lot of "well educated" and even "successful" people who are very dumb/naive in certain areas.

Trumpers have been calling everyone else stupid for 8 years. At this point they are clinging to an 80 year old man with clear personal and leadership flaws and really isn't electable.

He has taken a lot of their time and energy if they have campaigned or defended him. He has possibly swindled them out of money if they have been donating to him during the last 3 years. People don't like to admit they were taken for a ride. Eventually, the hardcore Trumpers (at least the "well-educated" ones) are going to have to face that.

DeSantis is going to need "Trumpers" to win...my argument remains that he needs to find a way to break through to them...

His supporters calling them "stupid" or "Cult45" ain't gonna do it... DeSantis needs to do something attention-grabbing that can't be ignored or buried in the media...

At this point, if you call yourself a conservative and are still enamored by Trump and buy into his lies about Desantis, I don't know what else to call that person. "Brainwashed"? "Cult member"? I have read about some very smart and educated cult members, to be fair.

I don't think DeSantis can win the primary with his supporters calling those folks they need to vote for DeSantis in the primary "brainwashed", "stupid, or "cultists"…

I don't know, how do you convince people to give up their religion? Politics has become more important and taken the place of religion in so much of America's heart, that it might be too late. For the left, the almighty Federal Government is their almighty, for millions on the right, Donald Trump is their savior. I wish I had an answer, but unfortunately it will probably end in us being forced to change our "religion" by the inevitable downfall that results from our worship.

I believe DeSantis can appeal to the Trump Voting Bloc…I truly do…

However, I firmly believe that DeSantis's current strategy, and the tactics employed by his supporters (as evidenced on this thread) just ain't gonna do it…

Again, the DeSantis Camp MUST pull 10s of millions of votes away from Trump…and so far, no matter what the reason, they aren't yet making any gains in that regard…

So something has to change..

Desantis absolutely would appeal to the Trump base if they had room for reason. But we have pages and pages of actual off the wall direct Trump quotes that are either nonsensical, straight up liberal leaning, extremely narcissistic, outright lies or a combination of any of those, and the response we get to it from that Trump voting block is "Reeeee".

These are people who only care about one thing - "Is it Trump". You can criticize us calling them a cult, but I literally cannot come up with a different word for what it is. Please feel free to help me out with that.

Exactly right. People went overnight from "DeSantis is the greatest governor in America" to "DeSantis is a Soros-backed Deep State monster, and I'll never vote for him."

I honestly don't think many posters here see anything outside this forum. It's NUTS seeing how feelzy the cult-members are. There are plenty of regular people who prefer Trump, which is fine. Some people aren't as conservative as others. But if you haven't actually looked at Truth Social and his sycophants, you should check it out. They're not tethered to principal. They're tethered to an idol.
