Extremely stupid idea, and it got an extremely lackluster response from what I could tell. But its just typical Trump these days. Not truly understanding the details of a complicated issue or how to correct it, just grasping at a flashy headline-making statement that he thinks will win him points with whatever group he's pandering to at the time. You do realize that children are harmed more but priests and others in positions of authority in whatever religious group they're a part of than they are of gay, or even trans people, right? That they're more harmed by straight men and women who are their teachers in grade school, right?

If you're really wanting to "what about the children?" I'd recommend starting at the churches and schools in your area first.
