Will Trump supporters put this loser up for a fourth national election loss since 2018?!

The Trump Indictment NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist National Poll

Majority of Americans Want Trump to Drop Out of 2024 Presidential Race

In light of former President Donald Trump's indictment by a Florida grand jury, Trump's GOP base remains steadfast in its support for the former president. Most Republicans believe Trump should remain in the race, and his favorability among Republicans and Republican-leaning independents remains strong.

However, a majority of Americans think Trump should drop out of the 2024 presidential contest.

Source: NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist Poll National Adults. Interviews conducted June 12th through June 14th, 2023, n=1,327 MOE +/- 3.5 percentage points.

56% of Americans think Trump should drop out of the 2024 presidential race given his indictment by a Florida grand jury, 43% say Trump should continue to run. Opinions divide along party lines with most Democrats (87%) and nearly six in ten independents (58%) saying Trump should end his campaign. Most Republicans though (83%) think Trump should stay in the race.

73% of Americans, comparable to 75% in March, perceive wrongdoing in Trump's actions. This includes 50% who say Trump did something illegal and 23% who say Trump did something unethical but not illegal. One in four Americans (25%), though, say Trump did nothing wrong.

At this point- there is literally no defense to the insanity. Anyone who supports Trump is a low intelligence / low morals person. There is no other alternative. GENERAL John Kelly served decades in the military and was wounded in Vietnam. When he was in command in Afghanistan his own son was killed there in combat! And this is what the insane maniac who dodged the draft says about him:

Trump Says His Hand-Picked Chief of Staff Was 'Born With a Very Small Brain'
The former president is appealing to voters by explaining how he appointed a bunch of incompetent losers the last time he was in the White House

BY RYAN BORT JUNE 16, 2023
GRIMES, IOWA -

DONALD TRUMP HAS said he only hires "the best people," but he stocked his presidential administration with a historically incompetent collection of fools who have no business working in government.

Just ask Donald Trump.

The former president has thrown countless figures he appointed to critical positions under the bus, deriding them as inherently stupid losers incapable of doing the job.

The latest is John Kelly, who served as Homeland Security secretary under Trump before moving into the White House as chief of staff.

"John Kelly pretended to be a 'tough guy,' but was actually weak and ineffective, born with a VERY small 'brain,'" Trump wrote Friday on Truth Social.

"He had a hard time functioning in a political world, and was truly an exhausted and beaten man when I fired him. In the end he was a 'mummy' who sat in his office and stared at the ceiling he was 'shot.' I'll never forget how his very nice wife told me that '"'John loves you, and respects you more than anyone, he will always say the BEST things about you.' Oh well, so much for that!"

Trump often involves the wives of his enemies in his attacks, including against Ron DeSantis and Special Counsel Jack Smith, who last week indicted the former president on 37 federal counts related to his handling of classified material after leaving the White House. Kelly had some thoughts about the charges, prompting Trump's outburst on Friday.

"He's scared sless," Kelly told The Washington Post for a piece about Trump's post-arraignment showmanship. "This is the way he compensates for that. He gives people the appearance he doesn't care by doing this. For the first time in his life, it looks like he's being held accountable. Up until this point in his life, it's like, I'm not going to pay you; take me to court. He's never been held accountable before."

Kelly isn't the only chief of staff Trump has attacked. In April, he called Mick Mulvaney "perhaps the dumbest person" working at the White House and a "born loser." Trump wrote that the only person who challenged Mulvaney for dumbest person at the White House was John Bolton, one of the former president's national security advisers. Trump has bashed Bolton repeatedly, calling him a "moron." He called James Mattis, one of his defense secretaries, "the world's most overrated general," and Mark Esper, one of his other defense secretaries, as "weak," a "lightweight," and "incapable of leading."

Trump also recently dubbed Kayleigh McEnany, his former press secretary, "milktoast" because he felt she wasn't slamming Ron DeSantis hard enough on Fox News. "The RINOS & Globalists can have her," the former president wrote. "FoxNews should only use REAL Stars!!!"

They hate DeSantis far more then they do any Democrat, which is why all they care about is destroying him forever. They don't even care about the general election because deep down they know it is lost if Trump wins so they want the "victory" of Trump winning the nomination and destroying someone who is more evil in their mind than Biden, Obama, Soros, Hitler, Stalin, and Mao combined.

Barr, Bolton, Kelly line up to condemn Trump over alleged crimes
BY NIALL STANAGE - 06/18/23 6:04 AM ET Trump only hires the best people!!

Most of former President Trump's rivals for the GOP nomination have taken a cautious path in responding to his indictment but some veterans of his administration have taken a far more assertive stance.

Bill Barr, who served as Trump's attorney general, said that Trump would be "toast" if "even half" of the behavior alleged in the indictment proved to be true.

Barr later called the defenses mounted by Trump and his allies "farcical" and said that the former president had "engaged in an outrageous act of obstruction and deception."

John Bolton, who was national security advisor for Trump from 2018-2019, called the indictment "devastating" and said it should be the "end of Donald Trump's political career."

Former White House Chief of Staff John Kelly told the Washington Post that Trump was "scared s**tless" by the circumstances in which he finds himself, adding "he's never been held accountable before."

Barr, Bolton and Kelly have all grown more alienated from Trump in recent years, but they are nonetheless cut from different cloth than "Never Trump" figures like former Reps. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) and Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.).

This lends them some degree of credibility, at least in terms of providing a counterpoint to Team Trump's claims that the indictment on 37 counts, including conspiracy to obstruct justice is a politically motivated attempt to hobble his chances of winning back the presidency.

Other significant figures in the party and in the broader conservative movement have also weighed in against Trump's conduct in relation to the sensitive documents found at Mar-a-Lago.

In doing so, they have created a sharply different dynamic around this case than the indictment filed against Trump in April in New York.

Trump lacked power to declassify secret nuclear arms document, experts say
By Jonathan Landay

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Even when he was president, Donald Trump lacked the legal authority to declassify a U.S. nuclear weapons-related document that he is charged with illegally possessing, security experts said, contrary to the former U.S. president's claim.

The secret document, listed as No. 19 in the indictment charging Trump with endangering national security, can under the Atomic Energy Act only be declassified through a process that by the statute involves the Department of Energy and the Department of Defense.

For that reason, the experts said, the nuclear document is unique among the 31 in the indictment because the declassification of the others is governed by executive order.

"The claim that he (Trump) could have declassified it is not relevant in the case of the nuclear weapons information because it was not classified by executive order but by law," said Steven Aftergood, a government secrecy expert with the Federation of American Scientists.

The special status of nuclear-related information further erodes what many legal experts say is a weak defense centered around declassification. Without providing evidence, Trump has claimed he declassified the documents before removing them from the White House.

Prosecutors likely will argue that declassification is irrelevant because Trump was charged under the Espionage Act, which predates classification and criminalizes the unauthorized retention of "national defense information," a broad term covering any secrets that could be helpful to the nation's enemies.

Document No. 19 is marked "FRD," or Formerly Restricted Data, a classification given to secret information involving the military use of nuclear weapons. The indictment described it as undated and "concerning nuclear weaponry of the United States."

'Troubled Man' Trump in Stunning CBS Interview: He's Like 'A Defiant 9-Year-Old'
By Joe DePaolo June 18th, 2023,
Former Attorney General Bill Barr has been the talk of the political world for the past week after his stunning proclamation that former President Donald Trump is "toast" if half of the 37-count indictment against him is true. Now, after a week of personal insults from the former president, Barr is fighting back with an utterly brutal assessment of his old boss.

In a stunning CBS interview on Sunday with Robert Costa, Barr doubled down on his opinion that Trump has only himself to blame for his current predicament.

"This is not a circumstance where he's the victim or this is government overreach," Barr said. "He provoked this whole problem himself. Yes, he's been the victim of unfair witch hunts in the past. But that doesn't obviate the fact that he's also a fundamentally flawed person who engages in reckless conduct. And that leads to situations, calamitous situations like this, which are very destructive and hurt any political cause he's associated with."

The former attorney general did say that while Trump has "many good qualities" and "accomplished some good things," his actions ultimately endanger the GOP cause.

"He is a consummate narcissist and he constantly engages in reckless conduct that that puts his political followers at risk and the conservative and Republican agenda at risk," he said.

Asked if he believes Trump lied to the Justice Department, Barr said, "Yes, I do."

He then added this jawdropping postscript:

"He will always put his own interests and gratifying his own ego ahead of everything else, including the country's interests. There's no question about it.

This is a perfect example of that. He's like a 9-year-old a defiant 9-year-old kid who's always pushing the glass toward the edge of the table, defying his parents to stop him from doing it. It's a means of self-assertion and exerting his dominance over other people. And he's a very petty individual who will always put his interests ahead of the country's, his personal gratification of his ego. But our country can't be a therapy session for a troubled man like this."

I hate to tell you, but when you've already been President and have proven you are for:
1. Strong America globally
2. Lower Taxes
3. Energy independent
4. Strong border
5. America first policy here in America
6. Creation of millions of jobs & raising job participation rates
7. The many, MANY other things Trump actually stood for while being President.

Most understand his policies and know what he will bring. Saying his policies don't matter is so far out there, even the most severe cases of TDS get that.

For the record, I am against the FRD chants, as I will vote for him if he wins. Much like I first voted for Cruz in the primary, but voted for Trump in the main election. But I couldn't resist responding to this heavily induced TDS post.

They are yelling "F DeSantis" not "FJB".

Virtually every DeSantis supporter agrees with all of the things you have above. The problem is 2020 happened and much of it started to go out the window and then Biden got in office and the rest was gone in short order.

Now you can blame that on the Deep State or lack of a Congressional Majority or RINOs or whatever but the reality is Trump didn't deliver lasting reform. The reason for that wasn't because of any of those things in reality, the reason was Trump didn't understand that you need to build coalitions and lead. Reagan understood that. He went from being very unpopular at the beginning of his Presidency to extremely popular because he led and had a positive message people could support.

Every time Trump would get some momentum or have a big win he would either act like a child about it or attack his opponents. He loved to be hated and while that's fun it also kept him from ever getting his favorability above 50%. To make it worse he threw his own people under the bus constantly. Thus he made it extremely risky to support him unless you were in a super safe GOP district or state. He made enemies when he didn't need to and he didn't understand how to make lasting change.

That's the fundamental difference between him and DeSantis. DeSantis knows how to beat them at their own game. He knows how to use folks that care about being in office and not necessarily policy by making it easy to get on board with him and risky not to. He is very, very careful about who he makes enemies with and with his language because he knows this is a long game. In short he understands politics and how to win at it.

That of course ignores how Trump's policy positions have changed, the failures of his administration, his lack of electability, and the fact he is going to be in his 80s while President and will likely be a shadow of the person he was in 2016 because that is what happens when people age.

This article does a pretty solid breakdown of some of the polls showing Trump way in front and beating Biden. They simply make no sense. Trump doing incredibly well with women, Indendents, Gen Z, as well as way overperforming with Black and Hispanic voters. The only way this is possible is that groups that have been heavily against Trump have suddenly reversed course. Also Harvard/Harris (the most heavily cited Trump is crushing it poll) is Hillary's poster.

If you don't think that polls aren't manipulated or fabricated in order to push a narrative you are truly naive.

Interesting take and accurate. This is a Democrat who disagrees with DeSantis on most policy issues but he recognizes competence and wants a competent President. He doesn't see Biden or Trump as competent. There are a lot of folks who feel this way, they aren't deep into the details and policy and some don't even know what to think. What they want is someone who seems to know what they are doing, is well qualified, and acts like an adult.

The polls are absolutely being manipulated to keep Trump propped up in order to convince uneducated Rep voters that Trump can win the General if they just make him their nominee. What's hilarious is that the diehard Trumpers will argue that the polls in 2016 were skewed towards Hillary to get moderates to vote for her, yet now in 2023 they'll claim it's ridiculous that the polls can be skewed.

More DeSantis taking from his lobbyists. Surprised it's from one of the MSM, ignoring the "let's protect DeSantis at all cost" strategy.

NBC News
Quote:

Ron DeSantis' top aide organized government staff to solicit campaign cash from lobbyists

Quote:

unusual instance of a highly influential taxpayer-funded aide's doubling as a top political bundler.

And part of the way he raised that money was by having other government officials help him solicit cash from lobbyists.

Quote:

The move, besides being out of the ordinary, raises ethical questions, and it shocked many of those Republican lobbyists here in Florida's capital who felt pressured to donate because they have business before the administration. It also underscores the extent to which DeSantis has used the state government to further his ambitions.
Sounds like it's ar for the course for "i'm up for sale, give me your money" Desantis. Squeeze out money from lobbyists while he's voting for their causes.
