I am not Trump guy...it's like he's trying to lose my support. But if this ever happens, it basically signals the end of the republic and I think violent responses would be justified. We are a banana republic basically at this point, just with fancy gadgets and fat poor people.

They impeached him twice on what has turned out to be completely politically manufactured premises. They can surely forum shop some innocuous action to a hostile jury.

I doubt he's going to jail. If he keeps making baseless accusations, I doubt many will care if he does.

I just don't see the swamp escalating him to martyr status by throwing him in jail. Once Desantis announces, the medial will begin to hype Trump a lot more. He is nothing more than controlled opposition at this point. Throw him in jail and an entire voting base becomes engaged.

On the one hand, Trump has a history of choosing such crappy legal representation (just like most of the rest of his personnel decisions) that any legal opinion from one of his former lawyers is questionable at best.

On the other hand, if that same caliber of attorney is representing him at a criminal trial, then he's not going to get a very good defense, so maybe jail time is more likely than it seems.

Trump is also a notoriously bad client. He can't shut his mouth when he needs to.
