This is also the type of ad DeSantis can run but Trump cannot because he praised the vaccines and he kept Fauci in power. It's a double edged sword for him.

I really like that DeSantis never lets up. His messaging is consistently on target and hitting on all cylinders. I don't know who he has working for him on marketing and advertising, but they are very good.

I agree.... the problem is that Trump is sucking all the oxygen out of the room, so I don't see how DeSantis gets enough traction.

This is a good montage.

I rarely wore a mask in 2020, and it let me see the ugliest side of the American Public.

I thought it was in run down projects, and rough areas...and to an extent it is; however the ire I recieved from the Middle & upper class due to not wearing a mask was absolutely terrible.

I was yelled at, called gross, and my wife got rattled enough that she started wearing one just to stop the dirty looks & *******s from causing us problems - which made me feel worse for not wearing one.

What some of y'all did in 2020 was ****ing pathetic, and I still haven't been able to get that chip off my shoulder.

Yep. He was Mr. Warp Speed. It's his biggest flaw in my opinion. And people think he's going "to drain the swamp." Whatever. We have a chance to have real competent conservative leadership in the executive branch but let's go with another geriatric. All hail the Geriotocracy!

The 2022 campaigns avoided addressing this medical tyranny and look at the result.

Many of the least vaccinated groups (minorities, women, youth) voted for the leftists when there was a major wedge issue that could have been targeted.

I don't remember hearing him push the vaccines, although most of Hollywood did, so not too surprising.

Utterly amazing.

To think we went from that (vid op posted) to (my personal experiences):

May 2021 - our long time pediatrician strongly urging me to get our teenage sons vaccinated for Covid

Sept 2021 - our long time pediatrician not signing off on our (at the time) 15 year old to return to athletics after having Covid (less severe than most colds) without extensive cardio evaluations

Jan 2022 - same pediatrician seeing my now 13 year old and not evening mentioning Covid vaccination

Aug 2022 - me being hospitalized for a week and not one doctor or nurse asking me about my vaccination status

The base already agrees with this. Where anti vax messaging will not get a positive response are by the entire pro vax huge group of voters.

The pro vax group despise Desantis more than Trump! Trump actually has this as an advantage over Desantis. So no it's not a double edge sword for him.

Also evil Fauci actually was NEVER for mandates and tyrant rule while Trump was office and said so repeatedly. Trump of course never was as well.

The only place I am sympathetic to mask wearers is sctual health care facilities where some of the people might be likely to be exposed to more viruses or might be more likely to be immune compromised. At this point however, the virtue signaling in my area is pretty much dead, and only the ignorant, the nutty, and people who actually might be sick wear them, and since they are few and not always distinguishable by colored hair, I just ignore it now.

Look, nobody is draining the Swamp. No one. Trump did the best anyone has ever done against that enemy and he ended up losing as he tried to negotiate with them and show some trust. That trust, in Fauci, was rewarded with him being ousted from the White House.

My guess is that Trump would be a lot less friendly to the Swamp than he was in the last few years of his Presidency...which is what the Swamp also knows. Zero chance they allow Trump to spend one more day as President ever again. Take that however you want...

He is as extreme as one can get. After laying low from his nanny baby son scandal for several years he's been welcomed with open arms by the left - by expressing leftist views.

When he first resurfaced he got most of his air time trashing Trump.

Agreed.

It's funny reading revisionist history. Trump was considered a dictator while in office and was criticized relentlessly for getting rid of people or losing people he didn't agree with or get along with.

If he had fired Fauci while in office half of the Republican Party - the never Trumpers, CMs, many that are now DeSantis supporters, and even some Trump supporters would have been marching in the streets with Chuck Schumer calling for his head!

The vaccine "approval" or "release" was even purposely withheld till after the election. Trump was called a liar saying a vaccine was going to be ready by the year end. The week after the election it was announced!

And 59% wanted to force you to stay confined in your home if you didn't get it.

And 48% wanted to be able to arrest you if you questioned its efficacy.

And 45% wanted to send you to internment camps if you didn't get it.

And 47% want the government to track your movements if you didn't get the shot.

And 29% wanted to remove your children from you if you didn't get it.

Not good enough for TDSers, it's 100% or they won't vote and in turn help leftists win again.

(And yes I prefer Trump, but I'm pulling the hammer hard for whichever of them two wins the primary).

No, he could have fired Fauci and got his own guy instead. Take the hit and drive through it. Kemp and DeSantis did that. Sweden did that. South Dakota did that. Trump feared the blowback and in the end the consequences were far worse than if he had just made that move at the beginning or at any point. Giving Fauci a freaking medal right before he left office also destroys any BS narrative that Trump had no choice.

Trump foolishly thought he could go all in with Warp Speed and a vaccine would be developed that would save everyone and he would get the credit. Fauci and others told him as much. He bet big and he bet wrong and the rest of us paid the price. Sorry but he doesn't get a pass.

DeSantis has signed more conservative legislation this week than Trump did in his entire 4 year term. When he took office he won by less than half a percent. Many of his policies have become the model that other states have adopted and last night he literally got Title 42 extended even though he is just the Governor of Florida.

You can say many things about DeSantis but "unproven" is a pretty ridiculous one.

I'm pretty sure the hard core pro-vax crowd, whether Republican or Democrat - which are predominantly left leaning, won't be voting for Trump or DeSantis. I don't see any big advantage there for Trump at all.

Sure, Monday morning QB but at the time a real estate mogul had no experience. For that matater neither would any other president.

If you have ever been in a place of authority over a highly technical matter like healthcare and a pandemic virus as the world had accepted then you have no idea of what you would have done. In my experience, non healthcare, I had major decisions to make with 1000 engineers on my payroll. Were we perfect, no. But it was non political. Trump had no one to rely upon especially after impeachments, and Russia hoax.

The "pro vax" group is a small group of hardcore leftists at this point and shrinking by the day as everyone associated with the vax is trying to run from it as fast as they can.

Oh, and the "Fauci was NEVER for mandates" thing is kind of funny. All that does is show how badly Trump got played. Sorry but most of us have very different memories than you do. Trump owns his Covid response and the consequences of what happened due to his trusting in Fauci.

Hey if you think the Pro Vax crowd is how to win the Presidency though I guess that's a take though.

I forgive him but I don't forget. That just shows he isn't the right guy for the job and we need someone who made different choices. Not going to write off Covid and destroying millions of lives as an "oopsie".

BTW, the key is not that he needed to be a healthcare expert. The key is he needed to find his own that he could trust and would back him up with policies that made sense. That's exactly what DeSantis did. Trump stuck with Fauci even though Fauci was contradicting him and elevating himself above him.

Here's a reminder of how DeSantis handled his own Fauci:

We need to absolutely remember this. 45% of Dems/Libs in this country wanted to put anyone unvaccinated into an internment camp. This is full on Nazi thinking. Almost half the people in this country were willing and even enthusiastic about going down the Nazi path. That is terrifying.
