#BREAKING: Gov. Ron DeSantis announces signing of anti-illegal immigration bill mandating E-Verify, adding money for migrant transports, increasing penalties for human smuggling

I don't believe so. I don't know the specifics of how the 14th is applied to illegals but what is most likely is this would trigger a court case that could actually end up reversing how those issues are handled. Certainly when the 14th was passed it was not meant to protect illegals.aggiehawg said:
TBH, not sure that wouldn't require an amendment to the Constitution?
President Bidenās dereliction of duty at the border is costing Americans their lives. In Florida, weāve taken concrete action to protect our communities by:

- Enforcing E-Verify

DeSantis risking $17 billion investment by Disney in WDW / Florida and Iger asks if DeSantis wants Disney to reconsider whether to invest this.
That's a lot of $$$s. DeSantis may have to take an L on this one at some point.

It was on Igor's earnings call. Why would I need to show any work?

Sounds like CEO posture speak.
He doesn't have another state he can go invest in.
The liberal ones will tax him to death and be lawless. The conservative ones will push back.
The middle of the road ones dont have any major cities.

Go it. You seem rational. Go DeSantis 2024!
If its no big deal its no big deal. Personally, if a governor costs my state $17 billion in investment because he is too smug to sit down and talk just to score a potential political point, then I consider that an L.

You seem to have not been following the issue. Understandable. Maybe spend some time and then we can discuss. Thanks,

Disney is trying to saber rattle because they screwed themselves. We have a better chance of seeing Greta Thunberg going to work for Exxon than Florida rebuilding WDW in another state.

Then call his bluff and bring him to the table to work a deal.
DeSantis is at a big risk of overplaying his hand. It's not fake ftc making this up, folks like Kudlow and other's are cautioning DeSantis to resolve it.
It's not money over principles. DeSantis can get a great deal in his favorā¦ for now.

I think I'm well informed. See believers comments above. Guy won by 20 points in Florida. This isn't going to hurt him AT ALL. He holds all the cards.
They AREN'T moving Disney World.

Who said they were moving? Just invest those dollars elsewhere or delay until a more favorable governor is in place.
The DeSaintis worship is strong. Is the guy above any criticism at all?

Wow. What pearls of wisdom you produce.
Hey ladies, let's vote RonnieD because he has the balls to go up and grab 'em by the pooty!
I think that approach has been tried. It's cute seeing him trying to emulate his idol.

The two sides not working together for an agreeable solution is a net negative economic impact for Florida.
Right now DeSantis has leverage and can get his best deal. I think he should figure it out, not drag it out.
I have seen the first video Hawk posted and provided my initial thoughts.
I do not think the bond issue is quite the issue the video guy thinks it is. Even if there is a potential issue, its a leveraging point but no one is going to want those bonds called. NO ONE.
