Or both Bongino and Tucker have offers to go somewhere where they have more editorial control.

Gutfeld on a network where he would have even more creative control would be glorious.

I am sure that is an excuse of theirs. Bongino and now Carlson.

FNC is not a conservative network and has not been in quite some time.

I am guessing Hannity is next.

Fox isn't some ideological bastion. Never have been. They merely saw a market to take advantage of. They're a company out for profit first and foremost.
This decision proves that profit isn't their motive. It was, but it isn't anymore.

Rupert Murdoch is a leftist and his kids are much more liberal than he. Them hiring Paul Ryan was a signal that they were shifting leftward. They will now become just another network pushing a leftist point of view.

No matter how triggered the left gets from FoxNews and tries to spread the false narrative that Fox is THE only bias major network in news...the fact of the matter is that Fox was never a right-wing network. They are just as corporate as any of the others. I would imagine Tucker questioned the govt far too much for the company line.

He'll get a ton of viewers wherever he ends up though.

Fox News is absolutely a right wing news network. Calling it anything other than that is insulting everyone's intelligence. You are correct they are corporate. Their product is news with a political bias that comes from the right wing that targets a certain demographic. Before you go full whataboutism, the rest of the main stream media is left-wing.

His show had big rating but I don't know if it brought big money. The commercials were terrible. It was the pillow guy, huckabee children's book, rush Limbaugh book, some joint supplement, and something else for pain that had a rotating conservative commentator to help sell.

Wasn't Tucker the #1 show in America? Something had to go down - dude was a cash cow for Fox.

Edit: Fox Corp shares down 5% after news. So clearly it was material.

He doesn't even get to say goodbye to his audience. His last show was indeed his last show on Fox.

There will be stipulations to his departure. Don't expect him to pop up on a network anytime soon.

Probably wanted more control and saw $$$$ to do something else.

What people like Tucker who have done similar things in the past have run into is that their new gig simply doesn't have the reach that their old one did. Therefore over time their influence begins to dwindle while their old network simply creates a new star.

When one is the left of Marx, everything else looks "right wing."
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." - Sir Winston Churchill

Wasn't Tucker one of the few asking for facts regarding the 2020 election scandal? At least that's how I remember. I felt like he took a lot of heat for not completely believing Sidney Powell.

It has not been. Your opinion is skewed by the fact that all the other major networks are liberal.

The news on Fox has just been news. Of course the opinion shows are mostly right-leaning. Fox has never pretended otherwise.

Started off really strong with good information and gathered a strong following. At some point the conspiracies and fringe information took over and it was time for him to move to an independent streaming platform.

He'll still provide some good info and good reporting but his feelz will remain a distraction for most viewers.

And then the "conspiracies " were proven accurate.

(We need to stop the conspiracy labeling as it's usually accurate and not a conspiracy at all)
Conspiracy labeling is just one way to try and shut someone up that's making a point.
...the Big 12 is now viewed as the fifth of the big BCS leagues by many recruits. (Rivals.com national recruiting analyst Mike Farrell; August 2013)

Already the weakest of the “Power Five” conferences, the league (Big 12) is hemorrhaging fans, wins, TV ratings and respect. (SA Express R. Bragg; Oct 12, 2016)

On the heels of the dominion lawsuit, with the other lawsuit pending, the timing here is certainly suspicious. There's also the obvious point that it makes very little business sense to fire your top earner.

A few hypothesis:

1) Lawsuit timing is red herring. Tucker wanted more money because he's the main draw at that time slot and Fox said no.
2) Lawsuit relevant because Fox demanded editorial changes that Tucker's contract forbids, Tucker said no, C Suite egos got involved and they killed the golden goose.
3) Lawsuit is relevant because losses from litigation and pending litigation exceed Tuckers revenue, and it's a business decision to cut and unprofitable business line.

I still think there's validity to his time being increasingly difficult to sell to advertisers regardless of ratings.
