I grew up during the cold war, we have been preparing for Russia for decades. Im baffled that so many americans fall for russian propoganda. We should limit our spending, but russia is in no way in the right, that leaker is a coward and fool

If we want to worry about an invasion look no further than our own southern border. I don't give 2 damns about the Ukraine or Russia, I do care about our country being invaded by God knows who and we are letting them walk right in and giving them health care, housing and cell phones.

I 'll bite.

Because we are ignoring serious issues at home to fund a proxy war we created when overthrowing a democratically elected Leader of Ukraine in 2014, Ukraine and CIA provoked Russia by violating the Minsk Accords and killing btw 10,000 - 15,000 Russian dual citizens in the Donbask Region.

This war is for money laundering and to continue to prop up the military industrial complex.

The ramifications from this are yet unknown; however they are likely to be devastating and long term.

Until the US political class regains some semblance of a cohesive foreign policy across administrations and parties supported by a common national identity and purpose...boots on the grounds anywhere, at any point, is going to get a lot of pushback.

At this point, it's not wholly incorrect to say that US Armed Forces are deployed to suit the personal ambitions of politicians.

What does growing up in the Cold War have to do with anything? That ended over 30 years ago, and the Cold War USSR is nothing like Russia today.

It's crazy enough to have an open border with folks from Mexico coming over but there are folks from Europe/Asia/Africa as well with no real effort to actually stop it. And it could be stopped dead with just the 10% from the big guy on what's going to Ukraine.

And they are catching, Russian, Chinese, Muslims all streaming across the border. If you want to fight, go down there and do it. if another country blew up another country's infrastructure project, setting Europe back billions and a decade from the cheap natural gas they needed and agreed to buy, we'd probably call the perpetrators terrorists who committed an act of war. Hint: USA is the terrorist war criminal here.

If USA has boots on the ground fighting, we might be at war. USA used to require approval from Congress to go to war, but permanent government bureaucracies and authoritarian communist regimes don't need approval from the peoples' representatives- they can just do what they want.


Some people might think these are big deals.

Some people think clowns running our state department and foreign affairs are leading us directly to WW3 and possible nuclear Armageddon at worst, and helping bridge China, Iran, and Russia closer together and our long time allies further away from us at best.

but Putin is bad so all is well and everything is awesome I guess.

This has been about to bust loose since 2014.

Anyone recall when either the Russians or Ukrainians blew up a Maylasian Airlines Boeing 777-200ER over Ukraine with 283 people onboard?

If Trump had not beaten Hillary all this would have busted loose sooner but that didn't happen. Trump was just enough of a wild card that he saved this off for 4 years. As soon a Biden got in office and covid scamdemic petered out and the war kicked off IMMEDIATELY thereafter.

Anybody thinks this wasn't teed up for first year of GCF is on crack.

Ukraine was the number #1 location for money laundering in the world.

This was well known in Europe and in banking circles and people in the financial industry.

Money from the west would get sent through Ukraine. The deck would get shuffled and it would get sent back clean. This was standard practice for a decade or more.

It was happening in plan sight. Everybody was in on the game. US and Europe, Russians and anybody else. Everybody knew the game and played the game.

Nobody had clean hands and any of this. It's all a facade and has deeper roots than any of us will ever understand.

This is all bs and there is no sense to be made of any of this. Like I said, we along for the ride. It is what it is.
