Man this is SO true. I'm amazed I lived through my 20's with some of the jackassery we got away with.

Same here. But we drove too fast, didn't cut our hair and wore weird clothes. Didn't poke holes in anything, permanently ink anything or chop anything off.

If you go to Anheuser-Busch Inbev website, it wants your birthday and location and gives you a bunch of disclaimers before you are allowed to look at what other brands they own.

I guess they do this on the basis that they don't want minors looking up beer brands. Or in compliance with some kind of regulation regarding advertising beer to minors.

But isn't this exactly what they were doing with the Daylan Mulvaney ad campaign?

Skirt the regulations by sending a custom beer can to a guy with with a bunch of underage followers on TikTok.

Can you advertise Bud light to kids now so long as the person doing the advertising is trans?

Is that where we at with this?

I've always found these ridiculously fkn stupid. You can navigate straight to porn hib, but god forbid you go to the inbev website.

Wha't the point of all this riff-raff if they advertising beer to kids anyway?

Just because they aren't doing it on the website?

So AB is essentially subcontracting social media influencers advertise bud light to minors?

It's a wild situation.

No, but It's wild that i'm being asked for ID to look at the economic fallout of a failed beer ad campaign targeted towards minors.

It seems like a fairly obvious omission for people in the beer business to make.

I guess they got so worked up over the kids 365th day of womanhood all the executives got that 1000 yard stare.

they got so twisted ass backwards over this DEI that they do targeted advertising beer to minors.

****ing up the sale of beer is only something idiotic people can achieve. Add that it was the top selling beer in the United States makes this so much more ridiculous.

The entire C-Suite of AB should be escorted out. To claim they had no idea of this makes it even more pathetic.

Hate to break it to this board, but the Dylan content on TikTok is widely watched by 21-30y/o in the work place. I have two ladies in the office in their mid 20s that watch all of that crap on TikTok. Their entire social network watches it.

In some ways, it was the most expensive can of beer ever.

I think that, to be very honest with you, I do believe that we should have rightly believed, but we certainly believe that certain issues are just settled.

Garth Brooks has made a point of confirming that his new bar will "serve every brand of beer," following a transphobic backlash to Bud Light's recent partnership with Dylan Mulvaney.

The veteran country musician made it clear that hatred would not be tolerated there. The venue is scheduled to open soon in Nashville's South Broadway District.
So not buying a thing is considered an act of hate?

It's wild how Bud light has positioned itself as the victim in all this.

How is that possible?

Why do I keep seeing news stories where Bud light is portrayed as victim?

Are their PR people that good?

Because they're on the side of the LGBTQABCDEFU crowd...and so is the media that is writing the stories.

Maybe all of this Transheiser Bush nonsense will cause Yuengling to open a dedicated brewery here in Texas to help keep up with demand.

I've only had regular Yuengling, which I like, and Yuengling Light, which I very much do not like.

Their version of an ultra-light beer. 95 calories.

It's not bad as long as you realize you're drinking a light beer, but it does taste better than the big three, Miller Lite, Coors Light, and Bud Light.

I wonder if McChrystal is still under contract with AB after providing some leadership courses. And if so, is the advice to weather the storm or identify a mistake and move on.

Even though these get posted all the time, it never gets old...

This past weekend I was visiting my wife's family in Berthoud, CO. We roamed north to see the lake and stopped at a bar/restaurant to have a beer. An old man at the corner of the bar asked what was on tap. They reeled off a few and he responded "well, I'm definitely not drinking a Bud Light, so give me whatever the other one is". The bartender spoke to him for a minute and then to me. He said that they used to go through a keg of Bud Light in 1-2 days. The one on tap had been there for 3+ weeks and wasn't even close to being tapped. He said they're just trying to get rid of it so they can replace it. He offered me one for nothing and I declined and told him I'd rather pay for anything, rather than drink that trash for free. He said that's par for the course these days.

Again, these stories never get old.

Vienna Lager by Devils Backbone is one of my favorites. DB is a local brewery here in Central Virginia in the blueridge mountains.

It was tough giving it up.

Owned by AB.

There are plenty of other local brewers in Virginia that haven't sold out to AB.

I'm aware they brew it there, but I think a couple of people have posted that it is someone else's brewery, Miller or Coors parent company. Not owned by Yuengling.

I stand corrected. Partnership with Molson Coors and brewery is a Coors facility
