How was he obstructing if the Capitol police ESCORTED him to an EMPTY chamber? The obstructing charges would've been dismissed too if the DOJ had provided the video as requested multiple times. Also, there's video of him helping the police to get the protesters out of building.

I doubt the DOJ would've even charged him if they hadn't tried to build a false insurrection narrative.

He really cannot even be charged with trespassing at that point.

This is very akin to permissive searches by police. Homeowner allows police to come in for a search. Anything they find is fair game.

Capitol Hill Police allow him into the chamber? No law was broken since they escorted him in.

When DNA evidence became a thing, a whole slew of folks walked. Some of them had precariously taken plea deals. They were never guilty of their respective crimes, but those who plead made choices based on their circumstances and probabilities of outcomes as they understood them at the time.

A plea doesn't mean you actually did it - it means you won't fight those charges (for whatever reason).

His lawyer doesn't have to know or request anything. Brady requires the prosecutor to disclose EVERYTHING that MIGHT be relevant to his innocence. Someone letting you into a building and showing you around when you're charged with trespassing and related crimes? Pretty relevant.
