Pro tip: if you want to avoid more violence, maybe refrain from using words like "genocidal eradication" or "elimination" when addressing your target audience, many of whom are already mentally unstable.

No wonder this person (incorrectly, obviously) thought her only option was to take up arms. No telling how much similarly worded propaganda she had exposed herself to in the past few weeks.

Straight up go F yourself and your f-ing pronouns!! After you F yourself, you can spend the rest of the day coming up with a name for people who like to F themselves and then whine about not being referred to as your new makeup term.

Progressive dem. Parents. I'm actually shocked the cops dead named her. To the left that's worse than killing kids.
I was watching a show the other day about three women and their families. Of course, one of the women had a trans kid. She decided she was a boy, but her step-mom called her by her birth name instead of her boy name and everyone acted like she committed an axe murder.

I was annoyed because it reminded me that I know that is called dead naming. I was happier when this issue wasn't pushed into our faces all day every day.

We haven't even figured out if the shooter was born a man and wanted to be a woman or born a woman and wanted to be a man.

ETA: this is not an attempt at a detail; I meant to quote the post I was replying to, which was asking if anyone knew if the shooter suicided or was killed by police.

it was a female who was a female most of her life and then was transitioning to become a male

….can u imagine what it is like to never cross the finish line? I train! I train hard!!!! and I never can cross the finish line……!!!

You need multiple guards inside and outside of the building. She shot through the doors to get inside.

Each school needs to shut down all driving entrances but one and have a guard shack to identify who's driving up.

At the hs I'm an asst principal at, we just started doing this. Guy at the gate is a retired trooper, it's a pain at times but it's cut down on some problems.

Does he radio in the info? What is the goal of this, as opposed to id upon entry to the building?

I'm asking because I'm on a building safety committee in my district, and this could be done on my campus.

Main goal is it limits everyone into one entrance and exit and provides some level of control on who is coming and going.

Students must present an ID to get in and their names are checked. Adults go to the main entrance where their ID's are scanned by an sro.

It's not flawless, the entrances other than the guard shack entrance close at 8:30. With about 800 kids who drive, one entrance isn't feasible. I spend a solid portion of my day walking the building and just being around and seen. The only thing I know for sure is there isn't a way to stop someone who's determined to do something horrific.

School is only 200 students total and staff of 50, very small school, so maybe 1-2 security staff? You wouldn't expect much though.

watching that makes me sick to my stomach and what they must be feeling going in at first not knowing where the shooter is having to search room to room and then once hearing the shots heading straight there.

Everyone in America should be forced to watch that video.

Not just hearing the shots, they had to step over two dead kids and keep going without stopping to provide possible aid or grieve. That may have not happened had the one warrior cop not set the tone as he led them from the time he made entry until the threat was terminated. In the minutes before his leadership kept the momentum going by commanding actions that gave them purpose and in doing so drove out the fears they had arrived with. In his body cam there is already one officer hesitating at the door.

Thank you fine sir.

Looks like a Keltec Sub2000.
KelTec Sub 2000, AR-15 pistol with brace, S&W Shield EZ

That's a mighty long pistol
And thus an apt illustration for how screwy the NFA is. Barrel less than 16" long, and with no proper 'stock', it is legally a pistol, and not regulated under the NFA. Remove the 'pistol brace' and replace it with a proper stock, and it becomes a Short Barreled Rifle, and thus subject to NFA regulation and a $200 tax stamp.

A bit of legislative historical trivia: the inclusion of SBRs and SBSs in the NFA is the legislative equivalent of the human appendix. The first draft of the NFA included pistols as being subject to the proposed law, and SBRs and SBSs were included so people couldn't cut down rifles or shotguns into ersatz pistols to avoid the tax stamp ($200 in 1934 would be over $4000 today, last I looked). Pistols were eventually removed from the act before it was passed, but short barreled rifles and shotguns were not. And good luck trying to get them removed now.

I do find it notable that while the shooter had a super duper deadly scary AR-15 on its (Yup. That's the pronoun now. It.) person, it chose to use the pistol caliber Sub2000 for apparently all of the shooting.

Can't waste money like that and still be able provide billions to places like Ukraine and Afghanistan.

You'd better protect your kid by never driving in a car with them. Bet you have a greater chance at being struck by lightning than even surviving a school shooting much less dying in one. But these are the most heinous crimes and they resonate with people….especially politically naive hyper emotional parents.
OK how many kids have been injured or killed in mass shootings this year? How many have injured or killed by lightning strikes. I'll wait.

Define mass shootings. Are you including the ones in Chicago where 13-17 year old kids are illegally buying guns and killing eachother? Or are you talking about targeted school shootings? In either instance, the guns aren't the problem - the problem is mental health and the absence of good parenting. All school shootings are done by mentally ill leftist freaks who have ****ty parents or no parents at all.

Live overseas in a Latin America country for 20+ years and there has yet to have ever been a mass school shooting incident here. It is certainly a good debate for Americans to ask why school shootings have become more and more common in the United States.
