$16k per student is probably just slightly above average, probably below average given the area. School likely also gets considerable support from the church as well.

Of course. I'm just pointing out that the more you fortify and limit entrances, the more difficult rapid exit can become as well, so that all has to be an integrated plan and that's not easy with retrofits into existing building designs. Both fires and mass shooters are rare events as well. Difficult controlled entry is definitely a deterrent that at minimum buys some time. As you point out, Literally a few steel crossbars behind the glass doors or bullet resistant glass and this shooter may have never gotten in here.

She remains a female in life, and now in death.

No amount of plastic surgery, above or below the belt will change that.

So I just watched a video of the shooter entering, going into offices and walking empty hallways.

Upon initial viewing, I have to say that the school did a great job of going into lockdown quickly.

Could have been a real massacre if the place was crowded.

Thoughts?

Here's my thoughts. Transgender movement isn't going anywhere.

What I predict will happen is racial divide calming down and cultures joining forces for the first time to preserve their religious beliefs.

You know how taboo homosexuality is within the middle east cultures? They don't put up with it at all.

Blacks and Mexicans are very religious for the most part and growing up (Hispanic) it was very frowned upon and taboo.

It will be interesting to see if religion brings people of differences together against the trans movement.

I don't think any of them really wanted to take a school shooter alive.

All of these videos of hard to watch. Sickened for the families of the killed and for the traumatized kids in the school. Thankful for excellent police work.

As soon as they heard a shot, they were like bloodhounds on a scent. Excellent work.

Gut wrenching to understand they scrambled portion of the video as the proceed through the hall.

These brave men never hesitated and seem to have done things the right way. Such bravery, and such sorrow.

I've thought the same thing

This is a really outstanding effort on the part of the police. Well trained, personal safety aside, drive hard until the threat is neutralized.

I hope these videos are used in training other officers on how to respond to these situations.

Englebert's entire cam is the first 3 min of this and then Collazo's cam is the 2nd 3 min.

Englebert goes from parking lot to taking down the shooter in less than 3 min while taking instruction from a school worker and organizing the assault team.
