You should se how many modern schools have used bond money to create fishbowl rooms of "innovation" with full walls of windows. In some schools, there are few places to actually hide should a school shooting happen.

You'd better protect your kid by never driving in a car with them. Bet you have a greater chance at being struck by lightning than even surviving a school shooting much less dying in one. But these are the most heinous crimes and they resonate with people….especially politically naive hyper emotional parents.
The next shooter is watching that video and formulating their twisted plan. I am conflicted between wanting free speech and knowing that publicizing these monsters inspires the next copycats.

There has to be a compromise. Kids don't learn well in a prison environment. There's tons of studies done on the best learning environments and it isn't a castle or prison environment.
It probably starts with armed security followed by making exterior doors really hard to get through.
You need multiple guards inside and outside of the building. She shot through the doors to get inside.

At the hs I'm an asst principal at, we just started doing this. Guy at the gate is a retired trooper, it's a pain at times but it's cut down on some problems.

Does he radio in the info? What is the goal of this, as opposed to id upon entry to the building?
I'm asking because I'm on a building safety committee in my district, and this could be done on my campus.
