I remember the days when there were reasonable Democrats like Hoffeinz, Bob Lanier, and Bill White. Men that at least understood business and knew how to get things done.

Then it went to folks like Lee P. Brown, Aneese Parker, and Sylvester Turner. At least the Republican controlled Harris County Commissioners Court used to be able to help a little. Now we have Hidalgo.

And when Jackson Lee wins, Houston will take the trophy.
