Tik Tok is by far the best social media platform in our society today

Gov (both sides) looks like complete idiotic fools with their pony show on the hill today.

Meta and legacy media is lobbying/buying this entire ordeal with hopes of getting the 150MM users back in line.

Pathetic and will create a worse alternative if banned.

1) Tik Tok breeds division, which is good for their interests

2) Tik Tok does a great job at catching trends and topics that generate interest, which helps them target their AI's and bots.

#2 is the most important to China, and the biggest threat to US.

Buck Sexton / Clay Travis show were talking about TikTok.

They were talking about some dude named Andrew Tate. They said he is some sort of influencer. According to Buck/Clay, this dude is actually influencing boys to be men and it's pissing off the left with their goal to make men into non-masculine humans.

Are the attacks on TikTok their refusal to censor the uni-party's narrative? We saw them all bust a gasket when Twitter no longer agreed to censor any narrative that went against the uni-party's narrative.

Up to now, my opinion is who gives a ***** Let China "spy" on TikTok. They can get whatever they want from Twitter, Facebook, TikTok anyway. Who cares where their server is located. I don't do social media, other than TexAgs, and certainly not TikTok.

But kids are most definitely on it. If the left's goal to brain wash our kids is being thwarted by TikTok, then I may be a fan. No matter where their "servers" are located.

Interesting. Can't Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, etc. do the same? Isn't the censorship based on political narratives anti-American?

Just curious as to why they are focusing on Tic Tok.

I really knew zero about this before this weekend. Did some looking and now I know very little.

The whole thing seemed odd to me that the establishment is going after Tik Tok with the same vigor they went after Musk when he bought Twitter and removed the political censorship that was going on there. After listening to Clay/Buck, I was even more curious.

You aren't wrong that any company can do that, and they likely do. But this is specifically letting a foreign communist country have direct influence on our nation's children.

I think most parents here are smart and either ban or severely limit TikTok/ social media for their kids. But the kids friends likely have unfettered access and they probably have a huge influence on them even if they never step one foot on social media

So, they don't want a foreign government dictating what's on Tic Tok.

It sounds alot like they don't like the fact that they can't control what is censored. Like they didn't like Twitter when they stopped censoring based on political narratives.
