I am curious about this idea of washing pesticides off of fruits and vegetables?
What pesticides are alleged to still be on them after they have already broken down to safe levels or have been washed at the processor?
You want to wash dirt off potatoes? That makes sense.
You want to wash the E. Coli off from the farm worker that didn't wash his hands after using the porta potty? That makes sense.
What pesticides are still on our fruits and veggies at the supermarket?
The washing you do at home is going to be a lot more direct than any washing from a factory. They don't generally scrub vegetables in industrial washing systems, it's just water.

Most guidance involves scrubbing or rubbing for fruits and vegetables to remove any residual soil, pesticides, and microorganisms.
Do you scrub every grape?
I don't scrub fruit that has skin that I eat, I rub them all though, just like the guidance says.
What about oranges?
I prefer not to eat or touch things that potentially affect the endocrine system.

Last question in my earlier post.
What pesticides?
Are you ****ing serious?
Glyphosate (aka round up) for one of the worst, but all of them are major endocrine disrupters. I understand why we use them but even in small amounts these cause issues. You should never drink tap water that has not been filtered for this reason as well.
I have been snacking on Ghost Pepper Beef Jerky this afternoon. I have done much hotter but not on week days/nights. You never know.Nanomachines son said:
What family did you grow up in? I'm pale as hell yet I eat spicy food all the time and like it more than virtually anyone I know. My limit is generally ghost peppers though, that and above I just taste nothing but pain and spice. It's not too fun to eat.
I don't find Indian food all that spicy nor Thai food. If you grew up in Texas and didn't eat spicy food then you did it wrong.

If I knew what all was used in every single crop production, I'd tell you. But alas, I don't. The list of allowable pesticides is, unlike your johnson, long and distinguished and anybody that thinks they know them all is either a mensa level genius or a liar. Probably the latter.Burdizzo said:schmellba99 said:What is so hard about this to grasp? I'm genuinely curious.Burdizzo said:Nanomachines son said:Burdizzo said:Nanomachines son said:Burdizzo said:

you're not eating roundup, it's long gone before you eat it since it's not sprayed directly on the foodNanomachines son said:BQ_90 said:I bet you wear a mask in your car tooNanomachines son said:Burdizzo said:schmellba99 said:What is so hard about this to grasp? When average testosterone levels have dropped 40% on average from boomers to Gen y, yeah it's absolutely a documented problem.
Imma give you a hint - roundup isn't the devil lawyers want it to be. Monsanto just f'd up and paid out to try to shut people down and it backfired on them.Nanomachines son said:BQ_90 said:I bet you wear a mask in your car tooNanomachines son said:Burdizzo said:schmellba99 said:What is so hard about this to grasp? I think you just spent a lot of time typing to regurgitate the point I made above. Wanna wash off dirt and poo? That makes sense. But should we really be overly concerned about (specifically) pesticides? I think you just explained it above...with a lot of words.

Listen for the sound of a smoke alarm chirp in the first 10 seconds. You'll hear this sound in every single video blacks make. They literally never change the battery on their smoke alarms.
