Have to admit I'm of two minds on this one. Full transparency doesn't mean an exclusive deal with Tucker Carlson to me. Nor do I trust Tucker not to have it behind a paywall to restrict distribution.
LINKQuote:
Carlson's team having access to this footage will definitely allow for counter-arguments to be made, however, it's unclear that his team has exclusive access.
We will likely see footage released from Carlson and his team over the course of the next few weeks and you shouldn't be surprised if an entire special is created on the side that will air on Fox Nation.
It is currently unclear if McCarthy will release the footage to the general public after Carlson's team is done with it. One thing is for sure. The Democrats will be going into a full-on crisis mode, and like a cornered beast it's going to lash out as Carlson begins airing footage that casts the Democrat Party's narratives surrounding the event into question.
More entertainment. Fox News won the McDougal case by stating Tucker is only an entertainer and not news media held to standards that could make him or Fox News liable for false statements. US District Judge Mary Kay Vyskocil agreed with Fox's premise, saying "this 'general tenor' of the show should then inform a viewer that he is not 'stating actual facts' about the topics he discusses and is instead engaging in 'exaggeration' and 'non-literal commentary.'" Then we have the texts from the Dominion case that shows how he and the other entertainers at Fox News play their audience.TxTarpon said:

Dems got 18 months and a farcical committee to carefully craft a narrative, eliminate any dissenting opinions and blame Trump and MAGA. It was an f'ing joke. It seems politicians sitting on committees aren't held liable for false statements either.Quote:

Does this mean we shouldn't believe our lying eyes when we see capitol police waving people into the building through open doors, or just that any commentary we hear should be processed for truth?etxag02 said:More entertainment. Why would I watch it? I already got all I needed from it when it happened in real time. Besides, it's not like this is going to get anyone out of jail or bring someone back from the dead.
This will end up being as effective at changing things as anything else Congress does after the fact, which is typically nothing.
I mean, yes, it'll get clicks, ratings, and likes, but after that, not much. But at least the right can finally have their turn with the information.

Agree. I've been back and forth on McCarthy but this causes me more concern about his true intentions here.fka ftc said:

Agree with you. Glad its out but above board level playing field would be better, particularly on such a divisive issue.
Fact check, false. But don't take my word for it, read the opinion.etxag02 said:More entertainment. Actual malice is required by journalists/media toward public persons. Actual malice was required to be shown, and she clearly failed to do so, so the case was dismissed.Quote:
After the case was removed from New York state court, Fox News moved to dismiss Ms. McDougal's claim on the grounds that Mr. Carlson's statements were not statements of fact and that she failed adequately to allege actual malice. Despite propaganda/lies from the usual mouthpieces to the contrary, your whole summary of the legal arguments made is wholly untrue/false. I'm gonna just go out and guess you're not a lawyer, but regardless your ability to read/analyze legal decisions/reasoning is exceptionally poor.Quote:
A series of decisions from courts around the country hold that similar accusations of extortion or blackmail, especially as related to political issues, are almost always construed as nonactionable.

The entire Capitol Complex is huge with multiple levels and tunnels. Yes, I could see that many.Wearer of the Ring said:
41,000 hours of "film". The event lasted say 12 hours, right? 41,000 / 12 = 3,417 cameras?
Is that even possible?
I suppose a lot of it could be on people's cell fones, right? I mean there can't be that many security cameras even in and around the capitol.
Can there?
