Sort of like that guy in Houston, that last shot was completely unnecessary and should bring murder charges.

I'm all for taking liberals to task on their comments, but these threads get drawn out by these drive by repeats of "ask our resident libs", "but this is (d)ifferent" .deddog said:Maybe all the libs on here can contribute to his golden casketQuote:
The officer and the city are facing a $10 million lawsuit from Smith's family alleging that his estate has been 'diminished' due to funeral costs.
Well, his estate was definitely diminished after the failed theft attempt of his would-be, future estatebeanbean said:LMAO. Estate has been diminished? I'm sure he had dozens of dollars in his bank account before he was killed.deddog said:Quote:

New video sheds more light on the January 18 fatal shooting of Leevon Smith on Chicago's notoriously violent South Side by an off-duty police officer after Smith had attempted to steal her personal gun.
In the new footage, the officer, 30, can be seen getting involved in a dispute between four men, including Smith, 39, in front of an apartment building. Much of the audio in the clip is inaudible but at one point the officer tells the group to 'calm down.'
As three of the men walk away, the officer turns her back on Smith who then attempts to grab her gun. They struggle and wind up wrestling on the ground with one of her Crocs coming off. Two shots can be heard at which point Smith can be heard saying: 'You got me, you got me.'

It comes as Smith's sister, Tequila Smith, launched a $10 million lawsuit against the City of Chicago and the police officer.
Tequila is seeking the vast sum as she suffered 'loss of companionship and society, grief, sorrow and mental anguish' following her brother's death. The Smith family is being represented by Chicago-based civil rights lawyer David Kadzai.
The officer is accused of using excessive and violent physical force to kill Smith, whose name is repeatedly misspelled in the documents.
Documents seen by the Daily Mail show that the lawsuit makes no mention of the fight between Smith and the officer prior to the shooting.
According to the lawsuit, the fight that led to the shooting began as an argument between Smith and his girlfriend in front of the apartment building where they both lived.
The suit fast-forwards through the confrontation with the three other men and Smith wrestling with the officer.
'The Officer confronted [Smith and] began to wrestle with him and told Mr. Smith: "I'm going to shoot you,"' the suit reads.
