She's 89.

That's fair. Just trying to keep the OP grounded as age shouldn't be something to dunk on when the other side has an older example in office.

My Grandaddy was sharper, more coherent and analytical at 99 years old than many of these aristocrats are at 50.

The DMV called me one day to let me know he was there renewing his DL @ 98 years old. The lady said he had passed all of his tests and seemed fine to drive. I asked her why she called and she just wanted to make sure WE were ok with him having the license renewed. Some people function well in their old age.

That being said, I still wouldn't choose him to be at that level of responsibility even given his spryness. He went from completely able bodied with 100% mental faculties to no longer with us in about 6 months.

The (main) problem with Feinstein is not her age, it's the gall to think that there is not an equivalent, or even better, person waiting to take the reins.

What's sad is she's better than the communist who would replace her.

Unfortunately, Grassley recently broke his hip so he's likely losing that physical activity he had maintained running each morning.

I get it. I also am in favor of an age limit of 80 for serving in any Federal office. So if you turn 80 during your office you can't run. Even the sharpest 80 year old has significant mental deterioration and they are at a very elevated risk of more health issues or death.

My understanding is Diane doesn't speak or remember things anymore. Grassley is way more cognizant than Feinstein. When was the last time you saw Diane in front of the media?
