I still have a hard time believing our military technology is really outmatched by anyone else on this planet. We spend about 5 times as much as everyone else (no idea exact number but it's significant).

The Chinese only really know how to steal our tech not develop their own. Russia is in shambles.

Our leaders are without a doubt incompetent but I'm not sure 10 years of Obama is enough to neuter us that quickly… then again I don't know anything and am only hoping that's the case.

Saturation diving no problem at that depth. I have had oil field divers at 212' off the island of St Eustatius. Depths nothing to write home about.

Also, pro tip/bright idea: Go to all your major ground radar operating centers and talk to the controllers immediately. They will have stories to tell on what pilots have been seeing and when over years. Good place to start getting a handle on this. Can't wait for AARO etc.

Sooo, basically the relative rate of change in position (speed) is so low that the radar ignores the return as an anomaly. Much like a jet that turns perpendicular to the radar antenna so that it stays at the same relative distance and reduces its return, but even better because there is very little change of position.

The chinese apparently decided if you can't go too fast to evade radar, then go too slow.
