The alphabet soup mafia will do their best to cancel her, but unlike canceling some random college athlete, it will be a lot harder to go after Bethany Hamilton, although they undoubtedly will try.
Also, World Surf League needs Bethany Hamilton far more than she needs them.

Why can't the olympics and other sporting leagues just have three divisions? Mens, Womens, and Transitioners. Are they afraid that the ratings will fall about as bad as the ice skater making it's competitive debut the other day?

Elections are when people find out what politicians stand for, and politicians find out what people will fall for.
She is a badass mother ****er. I met her on the North Shore years ago. I used to surf competitions growing up and got pretty damn good, although nowhere close to the pros. Like any other sport, there is simply no way women can compete with biological men in that sport no matter how good they are. It requires too much lower body strength and core strength, and it's completely unfair to have them competing against each other.

This is a concession that shouldn't be made. This whole athlete thing is beyond "look at me give me attention", it goes further and is the equivalent of the Charles Barkley commercial dunking on 10 yrs olds. It would be cool to pay all of these female (real) athletes whatever they lose in endorsements or winnings, if they would sit out and absolutely crush these f-ed up organizations. Let the one princess complete with himself and see how that goes. Do it in every sport.

Also, this would eventually trickle down to the college and HS ranks. Most Div1 Athletics programs already operate in the red, this will make it worse. Also, Title IX would require equal funding. So now it's split 3 ways instead of 2. This will just kill more men's sports (did you know Iowa State has not had a men's Baseball team since the early 2000's! Thinks about that). Many HS's are cutting programs because of a lack of funding. This will make it worse. HS's also can't find officials to work games. Adding more games will make it worse.
If this happened you will see is kids' sports go exclusively private which will push out the lower income students from participating.
Those female swimmers had the chance to stand on the starting blocks at the NCCA Championship and they dove into the water anyway.FrioAg 00 said:
