Don't worry. The government can now hire and pay consultants millions and millions to help investigate potentially fraudulent claims for money they will never recover. It's the Keynesian liberal philosophy of government spending making the world go 'round. Spur the economy! Consulting firms start hiring! Can't slow down spending or else the music stops and the world ends again. It's how we 'open back up' and get things going again!

It's easy to forget just how much $5.6 billion is when we're talking about the federal government but a "budget" in the trillions...

But if just 1,000 firms participated in this, that's $5,600,000 each in fraud.

This was all intentional. And it's not chump change.

How many billions went to buy votes? The fraud is chump change next to that number.

I bet it is a whole lot more than just $5.4B. Probably more like $540B.

If it saved one meemaw, it was totally worth it.
