You can see someone you could easily save in a river for instance struggling and generally face no penalty if you elect not to help them (picture seeing Nancy Pelosi drowning in a deep puddle of vodka). If this sort of thing becomes more widespread, it will be almost impossible to staff/fund police departments in major cities, imho.

I think we can find common ground between left and right on this.

The weaponization of Federal police and the enforcement of COVID restrictions by Blue State/County/City police in opposition to the Constitution really caused me to rethink my reflexive 'Back the Blue' attitude.

I 'back the blue' when the individual police officer is following the Constitution of the US first followed then by his/her State's Constitution. Behavior that does not conform to this standard from police will NOT be supported from me.

There is a lot of argument about when is the right time to release this video......

....I have concerns that releasing it on a Friday night may incite riots late tonight, Saturday, and Sunday.

Governor of Tennessee I hope is putting the National Guard on stand by.

I don't think the rioting and looting can REALLY considered successful unless we have some innocent citizens get murdered and raped.

There are plenty of other examples of outrage but the media, left, deep state, whatever chooses what gets covered and the outrage to divide us. It works. Just look at this board, everybody is talking about it. The conditioning of society is complete as our talking points are always presented to us.

IMO, those cops were angry that they all were exposed to OC and had to chase the guy. Nothing that occurred prior to the videos is relevant though.
Once a suspect is cuffed, that person is the responsibility of the arresting officers. The conflict is over. They have to switch into a caretaker role, and ensure that the arrestee gets any medical treatment needed and transport them safely to whatever facility is appropriate. You don't have to be happy with the suspect's conduct prior to them being brought into custody, but you don't get to take that anger or frustration out on him/her/they.
I believe that the firing and criminal charges are appropriate.
