In the old days Bush post 9/11 it was like 1 or 2 years 0% for 3% fee capped at $50 - 75

Now if I get an offer it's 5% for 8 months Sept 2023


I've been more aggressive, like if 0 or 1.99% end in March 2023 I'll transfer it out in Dec 2022 bc I'm afraid the offer will be gone if Bank lending freezes. like a liquidity crash

Or just live within your means and pay off your balance every month.

**** happens sometimes, and unexpected expenses may come up to make one of these balance transfers necessary to limit interest exposure, but it should be rare. A younger me used these balance transfers a few times to move debt around and pay it off, but I've learned over time to live within my means and pay off my balance every month.
