I am really worried that this is just the beginning and that we might see this develop into dozens are even hundreds of young and healthy people collapsing and dying every day. The next couple of years might be really sad.

Eligibility to get the vaccine for all only occurred in April-May of 2021. Almost all of the increase comes before that in the graph.
Its "deaths" so I am going to guess that the increase is probably mostly due to how ****ed up healthcare in general became after the pandemic panic or other general lockdown changes where people are less likely to be around someone to call for help than they had been before or something. Potentially maybe some vaccine affects made it stay high after lockdowns or something like that

The paper you're reading is for associating myocarditis and pericarditis with people after they've had covid, not during. that's why they helpfully titled it "The Incidence of Myocarditis and Pericarditis in Post COVID-19 Unvaccinated Patients". The window of the study is at least ten days after positive test.
