I support Ukraine's sovereignty and their fight against an aggressive neighbor. I just don't want the US to fund it.

Guys..... can we please get some love for Dontarius?

All that loving with Alex Stein's wife has left him broke and homeless.

Seems reasonable to me.

I get accused of being Putin's boy on here for taking this position as well...... and criticizing the importation of far left western ideology into Ukraine as a by product of this conflict.

There is a war going on whether you want to stick your heads in the sand or not.

Tens of thousands of kilometers of territory have been reclaimed with Western help. I don't know what you people want to be convinced that this is a real thing that is happening. Heck, when you're confronted with reality, you just shift the goalposts.

This is more obsessively deranged than Ilhan Omar on Israel.

Because you take an unrealistic position that is not based in reality and just ensures a Russian victory. Therefore, your position is one that is tacitly pro-Russia.

Ukraine is an incredibly socially conservative country and will remain so for a long time to come. Meanwhile, Russia promotes degeneracy and social disorder in Western countries but plays the big bad social conservatives that conveniently appeal to just the right set of morality for a certain cohort of conservative Westerners so that they can try to weasel their way into Western influence.

Russia is not your friend. If you think they are, then move there. Their state-run media hates you and wants you brutally murdered. See how their fanatics treat you.

Yeah, sure. And none of the aid helping at all. It's all just one giant scam. Our satellite imagery, all of the OSINT, the footage, the near real-time reports from both sides of the conflict, all of it is just a scam. My friends who have displaced relatives? All paid actors. Spaceship's family member was just pretending to get kidnapped. The mass graves are all fake. The Russians openly admitting to gladly raping and killing women are all fake. The sieges and mass death offensives are all just theater. None of it is real. You're just being scammed by Uncle Joe and Mr. Zelensky.

You people think there's all cash going there and that the Ukrainians are somehow magically holding off the Russians with literally just cash. Some of you think there is just about zero actual war. Some of you accept every justification for literal rapist, murdering Russians be it religious, historical, political, or isolationist reasons.

The war is real. Ukraine is worth supporting. No, it's not some giant money-laundering scheme. Yes, Trump would have helped Ukraine if somehow his presidency would have not prevented this invasion in the first place.

You hate Ukraine because you've been lied to and have been told to hate Ukraine by the likes of Tucker Carlson. Almost none of you know what's going on in the slightest.

The argument is about the validity of the Ukrainian government and the level of US/NATO involvement in this conflict.

People that insist this whole thing is just some grift imply that this war is either way overstated or is entirely fake. Yes, there have been people (though not on this board) that think the whole thing is a giant psyop.

Informed people would say the Ukrainian government is real and legitimate, and the US/NATO involvement is so miniscule that you have zero "muh taxes" argument about it. You're being played by Russia, who wants to curtail Western support for a country it wants to rape and dominate.

Your arguments have no legitimacy and have been thoroughly dismantled every time a thread like this pops up.

You are assuming ignorance from everyone with a different POV than you....

I have close friends in Russia that live in Rostov-On-Don and Krasnodar. I have close friends that had to evacuate Kiev/Kyiv. I have been close to this situation long before Putin ever invaded Ukraine, going back to before the Euromaiden that saw a US/EU backed coup remove Democratically elected President Yanukovych. That was the #1 destabilizing event that lead us to where we are today. Period.

So stop with the presumptions of ignorance here....

I'm sure. You just happen to say the exact same things that people who only know Tucker Carlson say.

A lot of people think that Zelensky was installed, in fact, and they think he's been in power a lot longer than he has. Have you spoken with the vast majority who really do not like Russia and do not want to be aligned with them? It's most of Eastern Europe.

Anyone actually paying attention to the war almost rarely thinks of Zelensky, and when they do, they recognize that he is a figurehead and a fundraiser. The fighting being done by Ukrainian troops is incredibly brave and worth supporting. The prevention of Russia from raping another nation is worth it. Destruction of Russia's ability to do this stuff again is important.

Stop using this as an excuse to tacitly support Putin by discouraging support of Ukraine. Nobody denies that there's corruption in Ukraine. The issue is the disproportionate and ignorant takes about it.

Y'all never have any direct criticism of Russia or Putin in these threads. It's all Ukraine. It's transparent that you're not posting in good faith. It's blatantly obvious where you're coming from.

You know Russia invaded Georgia and did the same thing in 2008? More Recently, Russia invaded Ukraine in 2014 and took Crimea. Where was your concern posting back then? Why weren't we sending billions back then? Because we don't get involved if it doesn't threaten our interests. So you have to ask yourself, why was the 2014 invasion not important, but this one 8 years later life or death and the Russians are gonna dominate the globe if we don't do something?

There is a war going on whether you want to stick your heads in the sand or not.

Tens of thousands of kilometers of territory have been reclaimed with Western help. I don't know what you people want to be convinced that this is a real thing that is happening. Heck, when you're confronted with reality, you just shift the goalposts.

This is more obsessively deranged than Ilhan Omar on Israel.
I don't ****ing care about Ukraine and most of the EU (who would jail me for disagreeing with a ****** grooming my kids).
Yes you do, otherwise you and others here wouldn't incessantly talk about how much you don't care.
I care in that I don't want my taxes sent over there (and then back into our politician's pockets via FTX).
You realize FTX laundered the money and not Ukraine?
You realize Zelensky was sticking a bunch of our tax donations into FTX correct?

Georgia was far weaker in 2008 than Ukraine in 2022. Uraine in 2014 was far weaker than in 2022, and the 2014 invasion was disguised by Russia as a separatist conflict. On February 24, 2022, Russia pulled off the mask and formally revealed they were behind it all along, which everyone knew.

Why do you think it's acceptable for a country to rape, murder, and pillage another one and then threaten the world with nuclear blackmail if by chance they don't get their way? Would you find it acceptable to let a serial rapist claim more victims if he carries a grenade everywhere he goes? That may sound extreme, but that is what we're dealing with in broader terms.

The issue isn't that Russia specifically will dominate the globe. The problem is that if Russia is allowed to succeed, it will embolden China, Iran, and all other wannabe empires to expand. It will encourage nuclear proliferation as deterrence, thus increasing the chance of nuclear war. It will ensure that people are subjugated because wimpy appeasers allowed the world to descend into dictatorial oppression through cowardice.

You're probably right, we should keep sending them money. More money. We haven't sent enough supplies either, let's send more money and supplies.

I mostly agree with you, accept I think we should send more money and supplies to them than you do. How much do you think we should send over there? SERIOUSLY! How much more do you think we should send? Because whatever you say we should send over there, I think we should send more. You don't support them enough in my opinion, let's send them more than what you think we should send.

Maybe we should start a draft and send the Ukraine US soldiers over there too. I mean really now, if you (Wafflesdynamics), don't agree then you must not support the Ukraine enough. I'm disappointed in your wavering support of the freedom fighting Ukrainians…

My issue is with the propping up of Ukraine as this bastion of democracy and our sister nation in the fight for freedoms. They are not a pro-freedom nation and do not share our common values. Zellensky is a dictator who will become the next public enemy number 1 in a few news cycles once this conflict is over and the new narrative suits our political class's needs.

We have real issues controlling and policing our own border and our government won't shore up our own defenses, but you have no problem shelling out BILLIONS to send across the ocean which are not accounted for and do nothing to secure Americans' needs.

Why is he shutting down churches? Isn't this supposed to be a freedom-loving country?
